My band director told us a story like that, but it's because he was the only male figure the kid had to look up to. It's what made him want to be a teacher.

Or he's just a weirdo. lol. He is, but I love him. We both wave like maniacs every time we see each other (even if we're in the middle of the hall with everyone around. We look like dorks but who cares). Yesterday he did that wave, so his friends did the same thing to me, then asked "who's that?" lol. He said "I know her. She's my momma..."
*looks at me*

I said "oh really?" he said "yeah" and then I don't know what was going on right after that because my back was turned, but I heard them laughing and making noise so I turned to see "my child" tackling one of his friends and looking back at me, while that friend was trying to tell me "he said you...!!" and that's when my child succeeded in shutting him up, so I don't know what my dear son said about me that he didn't want me to hear. lol. I'll play detective and find out, just because he obviously didn't want me to know! I can easily get it out of his friends while he's not looking. Muahaha...
