This is a prayer request. I just got a call almost an hour ago telling me that the only son of one of our ladies at church was killed this morning in a plane crash here in Houston. The mother's name is Fern Harmon, and her son was Kenneth. Fern lost her husband almost 4 years ago to a completely unexpected heart attack. Now she's lost Kenneth.

They were told to hurry and take off from Hobby Airport because a Southwest Airlines plane having problems was coming back in after taking off. One of our local news channels said that the pilot on Kenneth's plane was trying to tell the tower they were having engine problems and could not take off, but were told to do so anyway. When they took off, they did a nosedive, skidded, and burned. From the pictures of the plane, there is no way that anyone could have survived. The Southwest plane was rerouted to our other airport (Bush Intercontinental) and landed safely.
