Real life advent

silver glittersilver glittersilver glittersilver glittersilver glitter

I borrowed this from Christine. I thought it went well with the last post about what God must feel when we reject Him.

Dear Friend,

I just had to write to tell you how much I love you and care for you.

Yesterday, I saw you walking and laughing with your friends; I hoped that soon you'd want Me to walk along with you, too. So, I painted you a sunset to close your day and whispered a cool breeze to refresh you. I waited; you never called.  I just kept on loving you.

As I watched you fall asleep last night, I wanted so much to touch you. I spilled moonlight onto your face trickling down your cheeks as so many tears have. You didn't even think of me I wanted so much to comfort you.

The next day I exploded a brilliant sunrise into a glorious morning for you.  But you woke up late and rushed to work - you didn't even notice.

My sky became cloudy and My tears were the rain.

I love you!  Oh, if you'd only listen. I really love you! I try to say it in the quiet of the green meadow and in the blue sky. The wind whispers My love throughout the treetops and spills it into the vibrant colors of the flowers.

I shout it to you in the thunder of the great waterfalls and composed love songs for birds to sing for you. I warm you with the clothing of My sunshine and perfume the air with nature's sweet scent.

My love for you is deeper than the ocean and greater than any need in  your heart. If you'd only realize how I care.  I died just for you. My Dad sends His love.  I want you to meet Him. He cares, too. Fathers are just that way.

So please call Me soon.  No matter how long it takes, I'll wait because I love you.

Your Friend,

Jesus

I'm guilty of leaving Him behind most of the time too... so maybe that's why I like this a lot... because it reminds me, not of just how I neglect Him, but also how patient and loving He is still... but I hope I won't continue hurting Him that way.

Btw, anyone can take anything on my site, really... :) I really don't mind... I write what I feel... and for the articles, i take them from somewhere else too... all in the hope of bringing glory to His name

I really enjoyed that.  It makes you realize how often we leave God out of our daily lives.  Very convicting.

Cindy, I think all too often we forget to open our "mail" from God.  I pray that we would have open eyes to see all the little notes, letters, and postcards that he gives to us each day.

Thank you for all the comments. We all forget that He is there sometimes. We become busy and don't really notice all our blessings sometimes. Others just reject Him totally. I like this scripture:

Ps 46:10.....10 "Be still , and know that I am God ; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."  NIV

  Thanks for your latest comment!  It took me an entire six months before I finally allowed my baby his first day out (his first three months of life he had "colic" ).

My son had colic, too. My mom said I did, too, when I was a baby. But we took Brandon to a Billy Graham crusade when he was 5 days old, so he was out and about quite early.
