I was just listening to a commercial on tv. It was for Ambien, which is a sleeping pill. As everybody has to do now, they had to put a warning that said not to drive or operate heavy machinery after taking Ambien. I agree - I've taken Ambien - and it pretty much makes you unable to do those things. But you shouldn't have to tell people not to take a sleeping pill and then go for a drive. Especially if you are driving a bulldozer! (I know Doug G....our lawsuit-happy society makes it necessary.)
But the warning actually should read, "If you are STUPID, don't even think about taking this medication!" Ethan did a post once on how much air it takes for stupid people to breathe. It was priceless.

On the way back from taking Beth to work, this song was playing on the radio. I always sing along to the songs, but this time I really listened to the words. God doesn't always calm the storm we are going through - sometimes He just lets us know that He is there, going through it with us. Storms in our lives can teach us lessons. I'm just thinking over the last 6 months, and I just hope I am learning what I am supposed to learn.
Casting Crowns - Praise You In This Storm From the album Lifesong
I was sure by now God You would have reached down And wiped our tears away Stepped in and saved the day But once again, I say “Amen”, and it’s still raining
As the thunder rolls I barely hear You whisper through the rain “I’m with you” And as Your mercy falls I raise my hands and praise the God who gives And takes away
Chorus: I’ll praise You in this storm And I will lift my hands For You are who You are No matter where I am Every tear I’ve cried You hold in Your hand You never left my side And though my heart is torn I will praise You in this storm
I remember when I stumbled in the wind You heard my cry You raised me up again My strength is almost gone How can I carry on If I can’t find You
As the thunder rolls I barely hear You whisper through the rain “I’m with you” And as Your mercy falls I raise my hands and praise the God who gives And takes away
I lift my eyes unto the hills Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord The maker of Heaven and Earth
I lift my eyes unto the hills Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord The maker of Heaven and Earth

Beth was supposed to be off tonight, but Lantz begged her to work his shift for him. So she gave up her day off, eventhough she had plans tonight. He told her she could have whatever she wanted if she'd work for him. This could come in handy
