So tired. Didn't get much sleep last night - maybe 3 hours.
After the morning service, we stopped by Walmart for a few things. Yes, $101 is actually just a few things. I had to get sandwich stuff for the dinner after the evening service tonight, along with a few things we were out of. Well, then I splurged and bought 2 new pairs of sandals. Did you know that now, all sandals with the little piece of leather that goes between the toes have to be called flip flops? Nope, you can't call them thongs anymore. Today, that's a whole different clothing item.
When we got home, I washed a load of laundry, checked emails and a handful of blogs, and washed the car again. We have a pecan tree that drips sticky sap on the car, and I can't stand it. When you touch the car, you stick to it.
Then we left at 4:00 to go back to church. We had originally scheduled a "graduation party" for the one high school graduate we thought we would have this year. Well, turns out he didn't graduate after all. Maybe December. If not, his mothers says we will have a funeral. So we went ahead and had the party anyway, but changed it to a "retirement party". (Us Baptists will use any excuse to eat ) Our pastor's wife is a teacher, but she quit teaching at the end of this year. She is going to stay home now, and babysit for one of her daughters. She has 2 granddaughters, and 2 more grandsomethings on the way. We don't know yet what they are.
Mark wanted to know why I didn't grill t-bone steaks for the dinner tonight
I'm going to sit down with a cup of coffee and the newspaper. That is, if I can keep my eyes open long enough to read it. | | | | |
