UPDATE 9:00 p.m....Last night one of the guys from church offered to do all the barbequing for the rehearsal dinner. His name is Glenn. He loves to do that. So he is taking vacation days Thursday and Friday before the wedding, so he can cook brisket, ribs and sausage. Holly's mom, Frances, is making potato salad and my sister, Tammy, is making baked beans. I'll probably make cole slaw. We're gonna eat good!
I know it is very frustrating to Brandon and Rachael to turn down the house they wanted at the last minute, and it was frustrating to me for the seller to put them in that position. He wanted to unload this house, and he thought he had somebody that wanted it regardless of the serious problems it has. The realtor told them last night that the seller and his realtor were very surprised that they turned down the deal. And I'm surprised at that, because I know the other realtor. She grew up in our church. She should know better than to try to unload a bad house on somebody, at a price higher than its worth.
But when everybody in the Bible Study last night agreed that this deal was a bad one, I felt good about it. Everybody there wants the best for Brandon and Rachael, and everybody there was trying to seek God's will. There is wisdom in many counselors.
We are praying for God to show them the right house...the one He wants them to have. And He will.
