My morning has been interesting. I took Rachael to work this morning and was running low on gas, so I stopped at a Valero station on the way home. Normally when I pull out of that gas station, I go a particular way, but today I thought I'd just go a different way. And now I know why I did.

At the intersection just a few feet up the road, sat my nephew's fiancee. She stopped for the red light, and the guy in a pickup truck behind her rear-ended her. It had already happened so I didn't actually see the wreck, but when I realized it was her, I stopped.

She said the guy was acting weird and accusing her of stealing his briefcase. He was searching everywhere and told her he had set it in the back seat of her car. That would have been stupid for him to do that, but there was no briefcase in her car. She had called the police since he was acting strange, and he was mad about that. She felt like the guy was senile.

The police got there and while the officer was writing up the accident, the guy walked over to us and asked if either of us smoked. I told him no, but she asked him if he ever found his briefcase. He said, "No, I can't find it.....or the 4 or 5 people that were in my car!" She and I just looked at each other.   He definitely had something missing upstairs. So she told the officer what the guy said, and he said he would call the guy's wife. We didn't think he should be driving. (EDIT: Rachael said we should have told the guy that the other 4 or 5 people from his car were in the briefcase  )

So....how has your morning been?

EDIT: It's 11:10 and my sister just called me to tell me that my nephew came by there and saw that the cop had pulled the guy over again and put him in his police car. The officer had let the guy drive off and he followed. But I think what the officer did was follow the guy to catch him doing something illegal, and then he arrested him. He would not have been able to just go on what we told him.

Steve said it was a good thing the guy was not violent and weird.

On another note....Steve got a call this morning, from someone trying to recruit him for another job. And the lady who tried to match Beth up with her grandson was back today.

That is an interesting day! Mine started out different, too but not like that! I had to run out last night around midnight to get some medicine for Brian he came down with the flu! Came home and put everything away and gave Brian his meds and set him all up took his temp and went to bed. Got up to get the paint out of my car for the painter to paint the deck and cannot find my car keys anywhere! I still cant find them!

Then Kelly calls with unbearable pain in the abdomen so she called her Dr. I am like oh no I have been exposed to the flu I cant help! The Dr. thinks it is because she stopped taking her pain meds too early. I hope he is right because it sounds weird to me. But I am glad if that is all it is!

Poor guy was he old?

Kerri

Hi, Kerri.....yes, I think he was probably around 70 or so.

Sure hope you find those car keys! That's aggravating when you can't find them.

RYC: it's really scary because if she ever passes her boards, she'll likely kill a patient. She thinks she knows everything but she's entirely misinformed on A LOT of key issues in healthcare. She's a nice person but she butts heads WAY too much about WAY too important circumstances. I haven't ever seen her in a clinical setting b/c she transferred in, but she is a doctor's nightmare... and I'd hate to be the Nurse mgr over her.

He really didn't seem like he was on anything......all his motor skills seemed fine. He wasn't stumbling around. It's just that his elevator didn't go all the way to the top.

Love you, too! :heartbeat:
