| | Okay, this will be a huge blog that everyone will link to and be like, "I'm too lazy and tired to type everything out, so you can go to Momo's entry about the whole trip. Peace. Read here for more"
I may even post the html for it just for you guys' sake. XD
Morning: I was planning to sleep until 9:00, but Emily called me at like 8 and I was all groggy and I started to lose my voice. She was making sure of the plans. I tried to go to sleep for another hour, but that didn't work, so I made myself some cheese toast, packed some stuff, and got myself all ready for Japantown. I watched some music videos on MTV and waited for Betty, Danielle, and Lacy to come to drop their stuff off. (They were sleeping over.) They came late, due to Danielle's mom taking a shower or something. (Carpool. Nifty.) So we watched some more music videos, browsed around my room, and walked to the transit.
We joked about stuff, walked across the train tracks, but failed to balance on the rails, and we arrived at the transit where we saw Andrew, Scott, Max, Thor, Alicia and, Emily. Max introduced Thor to everyone. Thor's a funny dude. XD We kinda stood around, talking really loud. Lots of laughter going on. Wendy didn't come for a while, so I called her and she said she was on her way. She came, and she told us about some customer who was the most undecisive man in the world. We made fun of him, and then I saw Max with the Hellsing manga. I tried to nab it from him... But he's like 6 inches taller than me. Then Thor and Max started fighting over it... Then Max lend it to me to read. Danielle smacked Max with her purse and Max was in pain for a while. The bus came by and then we scrambled to get the right amount of change and we got on the bus to Japantown.
I pity the people who had to sit with us in the bus... We were so loud and noisy. Let's see... I sat with Wendy. Danielle and Scott were in front of us and Thor and Max were in front of them. Lacy, Betty, and Andrew sat in the back with this random guy who was kinda creepy, but funny... He talked a lot. Supposedly, he also started to randomly rap. I feel sorry for them 3 who had to listen to them... Anyway, Danielle went through her purse and found her mirror... It was cracked... Like, a lot. Danielle didn't know why for a while... Then she figured out she broke her mirror because she smacked Max with it! X_x Ouch... If her pad was on the other side of the purse, it wouldn't cushioned the impact. Everyone laughed about that.
After that, I was preoccupied with the Hellsing manga. Very good manga. Very good. I gave it back to Max and I was talking to Wendy who was talking to Jeff about our ride there. He kept saying there's nothing to do in Japantown. There's plenty to do, and we proved him wrong.
Once we got to the Golden Gate Bridge, I asked the bus driver if the bus goes on Geary, where Japantown is. He said no... So we had to go transfer onto a different bus and delayed the bus by a lot. XD Oops... Afterwards, Emily tells me that the next stop was close to Japantown. Why does she know and why didn't she say something?! Oh well. It was hilarious anyway.
Noon: We waited around the stop, waiting for the 10 bus that stops by Geary often. We tried to figure out when it comes, but the schedule only had it for the morning and that's no good to us, since it already was past 12. We waited around, looking for the 10 bus and joking around and whatnot. The bus came by and showed the bus driver our transfer tickets... Since we were such a huge crowd of transfer ticket carriers. We sat all next to each other and were all loud and annoying again. Wendy was gonna sit by the exit of the bus since there wasn't much room at first. Thor was being a gentlemen, and tried to get Wendy to sit in the last vacant seat. Didn't work and we told him to stop being nice and sit down. I sat a seat across from the bench and told Danielle to sit in my old seat so that she wouldn't have to sit on Scott and had Wendy sit next to me. Sitting by the exit doesn't seem very safe.
I could tell we were getting close to Japantown and announced it to everyone. The bus driver was nice enough to tell us through the microphone. XD "Phillmore and Geary. That means you guys going to Japantown." Whatta great guy.
We got off and started walking towards the restaurants. We were all pretty hungry, burning all that energy by joking and laughing and being idiots. I suggested a couple of restaurants, went through the Kintetsu Mall, with that row of restaurants. We ended up going to the Kinokuniya Building and bought Japanese food from Izumiya. We formed a crowd outside of the restaurant. We accidently blocked this nice old man from getting in, and a few old ladies from getting out. While we were waiting for the orders, me and Wendy went into the Kinokuniya Stationary Store that was next door. We saw a lot of nice stuff, but didn't buy anything. Came back and people already got their orders. Betty ordered sushi and beef donburi (beef over rice), Lacy got chicken don (chicken over rice; don is short for donburi), Andrew got an una don (unagi [eel] over rice), Max and Thor got an okonomiyaki (kinda like a Japanese pancake), and me and Wendy got yakisoba. (Japanese stir fried noodles) Good stuff. Danielle and Scott didn't get anything, Alicia and Emily went off somewhere else. We planned to meet up and eat under the pagoda in the Japantown Center. We all met up and ate under the pagoda. We were all disappointed in Alicia and Emily who ate at KFC... In Japantown! Lacy was angered. I was disappointed. Mmm... Yakisoba was really good. Everyone else enjoyed their food. Danielle kept mooching off of everyone, Scott got the rest of Thor's okonomiyaki and we just sat around, talking, joking, planning more fun stuff and we played cards. Afterwards, we decided to go into Kinokuniya, the bookstore.
We went into the bookstore and looked through various books and CDs. I went straight to the Japanese mangas section, Betty found me and tried to ask for some suggestions of a simple Japanese book for her dad. (Her dad is learning Japanese.) I told her there's a lot of books out there, so I couldn't give her s suggestion. T_T;; She went off to find something. I came back to where most of the people were and found them reading a childrens book about breasts. Yes, kids of Japan learn about these things at a early age. THAT'S WHY WE'RE SO SMART. No, I'm kidding. I'm as smart as a log. Well... Maybe not.
I wanted to buy Maru pen nibs, since I killed mine and now, I don't have any small manga pen nibs. I also wanted One Piece, issue 12. But they only had 13 and on, so I didn't buy One Piece. I bought Shonen Jump instead though. I listened to some sample songs on the T.V. headset thing. I listened and watched BoA and that song... Argh, I can't remember it, but I hear it all the time on Hey Hey Hey Music Champ. (A Japanese show where two comedians review the most popular music and interview singers. I love that show.) Anyway, then Max and Lacy watched some ridiculous Japanese rap. I had to read Max what it said on the menu, since it's Japanese. Betty bought this cute Japanese "alphabet" book with a monkey in it. It was expensive though...
We went into Sophie's Crepes. Andrew bought a crepe and so did Scott. We kinda took up the whole area... Anyway, walked downstairs because Wendy and Betty wanted lychee ice cream. It's good. Max bought a taiyaki at some place. (Japanese waffle, shaped like a fish with either red bean paste or chocolate in the inside.) Then into the Sanrio store for a present for Lacy's mom (her b-day is coming up soon) and for random souvenirs. Me and a few others bought a couple of candy. They were pretty cheap. Then Wendy and I went into the cell phone straps store. (Charms? Straps? I dunno, in Japan, I didn't know what they were called and they called them straps, so that's what I call them...) They were all pretty expensive so Wendy didn't buy anything. She got a call from Jeff. He was gonna come by later on in the day. He kept saying how there's nothing to do. We had plenty to do. Went back to where everyone else was sitting. Betty and Lacy were in the Sanrio store, so we went back in there, bought more candy. Betty was trying to tell the old Japanese manager that she didn't want change and he could have it. But he wouldn't accept it, so Betty took the change. I started talking to the nice old man in Japanese and Betty chipped in a little with some Japanese. XD
We went to the grocery store afterwards. I bought candy and ramune. Wendy got four cuz her brother, Alan, wanted some too. Wendy kept calling them ramuno though. I tried to tell everyone that there's a candy aisle, but not a lot of people listened. Oh well. We purchased our items and opened the ramune all at once. Except for Emily and Alicia who already opened theirs a little while before. Ramune is tasty... Yumm... We pondered about the glass marbles in the bottle. Our hands were all sticky because the ramune always explodes. We finished our drinks under the Pagoda. Thor started breaking the bottle tops so we could get the glass marbles inside. It's the only way to get them out. We were kinda worried, so we had him break a bottle top in a paper bag. But that didn't work well because everything shattered in smaller pieces and you had to dig around in the glass to find the marble. We went with Thor's strategy. Almost everyone had a glass ramune marble. Then we threw away the glass and some punk girl said something to us and Andrew said something back and they were like, "Yeah!" Or something.
Jeff came a little before our bottle breaking and cuddled with Wendy. They went off on a walk together and the rest of us walked around, aimlessly. We went into random stores and scared the crap out of people. We also went into the Soko Hardware store where Betty and Andrew was sitting on the escalator. (It was not on.) I saw a cool dragon headband and I fought Max with plastic swords. Danielle bought my birthday present in advance and wouldn't show me what it was. Even the employee who was ringing up the register for her wouldn't let me see.
Then we hung around the water fountain area. I called Wendy, Emily and Alicia. Wendy was on her way back, Emily and Alicia were still not done in Chinatown so they said they'd get their own ride home. Max, Thor, and I fought over the huge boulder so we could do martial art stances. Max and Thor started fighting in Ryan-Fu style. Thor was acting like he was getting real beat up by Max so Max would stop slapping him. Thor tricked him and started slapping him back with power. We ate some snacks. Wendy and Jeff came by and I consulted Jeff for advice to get back home. He helped us by taking us onto a bus. On the bus, me and Max leaned on Lacy and Betty, Andrew, and I talked about periods. We were getting off, but before me and some others could get off, the bus driver closed the door on me and almost drove away. But we yelled loud enough so he stopped and let us out.
At the bus stop where we transferred onto a different bus, I wanted to climb trees. Thor stole my idea and started climbing trees before me. I attempted to climb this one tall one, but I scratched myself in the process. We climbed some more, but then the bus came, so we had to go. We took this bus to the Golden Gate Bridge where we waited for the transit bus to take us back to San Rafael. We heard the bus was delayed for a while so...
We made some president puppets with money, watched Thor do front flips and other crazy gymnastic stuff (which was very impressive), goofed around and just having fun being our silly selves. Scott asked Max for the 47th time how he was getting home. Max yelled to the whole world how he was getting home and Scott never asked again. Andrew was gonna be late to his lacross game. Me and Betty were saying sorry and he said it was no problem. He just has to run extra laps during practice. He said this trip was worth it. Then he sticks his arm into bird poo. He said again, this trip was worth it.
Countless amounts of buses came, but none was ours. Scott, Max, and Thor needed to get to Terra Linda and figured they could get there from San Rafael. But there was a bus that came by that was going to Terra Linda. Max gave Lacy a hug goodbye and Thor and Scott ran to the TL bus... Then the bus drove away... LSHITIRS!!! (Laughing So Hard I Think I Ruptured Something) That was really funny, but really sad...
Finally, the 80 bus comes and we all get on the bus. Wendy parts with Jeff and that was so sad... ;_;
We sat in the bus and we were quiet this time because we were tired. Max slept on Lacy's shoulder. Then, the creepy guy from the first bus ride, comes onto the bus. WHAT THE CRAP?! That was so weird... Lacy foretold this too... He sat next to Thor and Thor seemed so intimidated... Poor Thor. Good thing the bus was close by.
We got off and said bye to the creepy man. The bus stops there for a few minutes. The guy wasn't gonna get off at SR, but he did anyway...
Andrew left immediately because he was late for lacross. Wendy went back to the donut shop. Poor Max, Scott, and Thor had to walk all the way back to Terra Linda from San Rafael. I gave Japanese candy to Thor and Scott for the walk back. They seemed a little drained. Thor was really excited about getting candy. XD Scott took Max's share. I told Max that Scott has his share of candy as we said bye. Max turned to rage mode and chased after Scott at high speed. It was... Amazing.
Betty, Danielle, Lacy, and I walked back to my house. We made a random ode to Lacy's mom for her birthday, then ate some good curry. Then I showed them Kingdom Hearts and FFX-2. Then we ate some pie and ice cream. Betty helped me. She selected the spoons.
We played some DDR, then Y came! She played DDR for the first time and she did pretty good. =D Then we played DOA2 (Dead Or Alive, aka, the slut fighting game) with the DDR mats. That was fun, but it was tiring.
Then we watched Thumb Wars. It was so stupid. Very funny. Not as funny as Thumbtanic though. Afterwards, we played some more video games.
I downloaded End of World while everyone else played cards. We watched End of World a couple of times and laughed. Then we played some more cards and Truth or Dare. Except we play it as Truth where we ask retarded questions because we used up the good questions. Lacy asked me a good one, but I kept forgetting it. After an hour, I said, "Oh! Ttruth or Dare! I need to answer the question." Lacy, who looked like she was sleeping, woke up suddenly and told me I need to answer the question. That kinda scared me. Danielle played Speed against me and Y cuz we're both so slow. We were talking about drugs for some reason. I put my hand on Y's shoulder and said, "Look! I'm on speed!" I thought about it and realized, that's not Y's drug nickname. We all laughed at my stupid remark. The three of us continued to play cards until 2. Then we finally went to bed.
We woke up around 8:30. We kinda sat around, talking. Played more video games and ate leftover curry for breakfast. Danielle had to leave, so she left for her orthodontist appointment.
Y, Betty, Lacy, and I played with cards again and then Pictionary. Then Betty and Lacy had to go. Y stayed until about 5. We played video games, we painted/drew, we looked at my shiny laptop, and other stuff. We were playing DDRMax2 for a long time (Betty lend me her DDRMax2) and Y is doing better. But we played with controllers so... Yea. I like Burning Heat and So Deep. Every time I listen to So Deep, it reminds me of David, the Asijew and how he passed that song because he's a crazy DDRer.
Brett's mom called me and asked me to do a favor for her while the whole family will be out on vacation, so I came by their house and she told me what she needed and it was all good.
Y called her dad and we walked to Davidson so her dad can pick her up. It took us a while, but we visited old classrooms. That was fun.
Well, I lost my voice. Like almost completely. I can't say a word properly. Sounds like a boy going through puberty. XD But I don't think this will go away for a while. The last time I lost my voice partially, it stayed that way for about 5 days. My family has trouble trying to communicate with me...
I was sad about the fact that Luis, Robyn, Michelle, and Jeff couldn't make it to Japantown. I was missing Luis a lot, but I figured that Luis wouldn't be very happy if he knew I was not having much fun being all melancholy, so I tried hard to concentrate on who I was with then and not the people I wasn't with. I still wish you guys could've come though.
Oh and seriously, this whole event wasn't invite only or something. There were quite a couple of people I didn't expect coming. So if you weren't invited but you wanna come, that's cool. But you should at least be a good friend of someone who is going so that they won't be all excluded and stuff.
I'll plan another event to San Francisco on Spring Break. And you're all welcome for organizing this shindig. =D It was my honor. Hope you guys can make it to the second one.
Well, I'm tired. Nighty night everyone. Hope you had a nice day. | | | Posted 2/20/2004 8:16 PM - 3 views - 3 comments
