Nonessential news first -
Two days ago, I baked a dozen banana bread muffins with pecans, all by myself at ten at night. I've eaten all but two of them. Maybe I'll share those two... Eh. Maybe not.
Yesterday Stevi said I could take a COM course, likely over summer. That's good; I've been wanting to. I first thought Japanese, but I can learn that on my own without having to do any homework. And while I saw some other interesting classes, I already had another in mind: Psychology. Also yesterday, I returned the PS2 to Scott. Finally. (He asked me, "Could I borrow my PS2 back?") Tomorrow I'm going to drop off Tiya's DDR things. And as soon as I can FIND him, I'm going to give Dan his CD, which I've had since the party.
Today started out badly. I woke up late (6:18), nearly choked on my pills, didn't have time for breakfast, and left my CD player on my bed. During break, I stepped in a 6" puddle. Then at lunch, I caved in and bought Nuclear Waste #2, AKA Burger and Fries. Only it was a cheeseburger, which they didn't say; it said hamburger on the menu. So that was $3.25 down the drain. But then things started getting better. I met Josh while trudging over to the gymnasium, and gave him my lunch, minus a few fries. He insisted upon paying me for it, thus allowing me to buy a bowl of pasta and two California Rolls (which left me with $1.25 extra), and then I stole a piece of sushi and a few soybeans from Scott. And then Charlie gave me the movie of Naruto, which Scott has been telling me to check out for weeks. So now I have a new movie, as well as an old one that I had lent to my English teacher that she finally returned. Halfway through Office Hours (a time set up for students to talk to their teachers if need be, where the teachers are required to stay in their rooms), I passed by a teacher who told me not to run in the halls, and I said, "Hey, I can stop on a dime!" She made me walk down the hallway and walk back because she said I was rude. So that was annoying, but whatever. (At least she didn't hear me call her a crabby crone.) I had some turkey, French bread, an apple, and two pieces of bacon when I got home. Mm...food... And then Stevi told me about my new school, which brings me to the main point.
The program is a home-study called Oracle, and I get to go in at 1:00 PM, which is really nice because then I can sleep in to eight and get some exercise in, too. But that isn't the best part. It's held across from the Northgate Mall! -So now I can bug the Jellybean Jar!
^_^
But now off-topic again. I talked to Jessica and Anna today, and they said that the horse show might've been canceled due to rain (though it's all sunny now, so maybe it hasn't been), and if it has I might be able to come over to their house, or vice versa. And Kristine said that I might be able to have riding lessons again soon, which I'm really hoping for. I want to get a black horse and name her Flickerfoot; that would be wicked.
For the weekend I plan on working on a Mother's day present. I'm dead broke so I can't afford a fly. First I started a bamboo flute, and I got halfway through making it before realizing I didn't know what the Hell to do.
^_^;
And she wouldn't appreciate that, anyway. "Hey, a flute. I don't play, but thanks. Bin it, will you?" So I gathered a lot of bamboo and driftwood and stuff, and I'm going to make some kind of desktop structure.
I'm going to try looking for a job in town. At the supermarket, I think; or if nothing's available, at the Mill Valley JambaJuice. I tried the library first, but they aren't hiring. Damn. That was my first choice.
I can't find my glasses. I put them down somewhere, and there's the flaw. But at least I know I'm not wearing them...unlike last time...
Well anyway, I'm going to go do something. I don't know what yet. Until then. |
