It's Sunday and I need some food!!!
I am starving, but feeling lazy and like I don't really want to make myself anything to eat. I could go for day 3 of 4th of July leftovers, and I am leaning in that direction honestly.
I read Micah, the next book in the Anita Blake series, and I have to admit that I was pretty disappointed that the book was $7.99. Not that it was a bad book by any means, but for a speed reader like myself, I finished it in a few hours, and was kinda bleh after I finished it off. It should have been marked down. It was incredibly short, and the storyline was pretty transparent. Although I did learn more about Micah, and a bit more about Anita, I am going to be kinda ticked if what I learned there does not progress the story more later...
Anyway, I have a big huge list of stuff I need to work on before I go to the new job, so I am slowly chipping away at the ridicliously long list I have made. I need to get it done! Thank goodness, a lot of the stuff on the list is stuff that won't take long at all!
I hope you all had a great weekend, and I'll try to catch up on reading a lot of you soon!

Leftovers are yummy! Good luck with your list.
4th of July leftovers...yummm.
Any time there are good leftovers I usually go for them until they are gone. No cooking!
*sparkle
sorry..i'm sure i didn't help much in getting any of your list accomplished...but i did help with the shoe shopping! haha. Watch out, I think Tammy has blackmail videos!
You got any used bookstores there? I got all my anita blake books, with the exception of the first one, and the last two released, from a used book store. They are way too expensive to be out buying them. I thought Micah was too short too. It even looked smaller than the others. Is Richard ticking you off yet?? I think by Micah he was starting to get on my nerves.

I never buy the manga I read for exactly the same reason. Manga books cost $8 to $10 dollars a pop and I can read one in an hour or less! I check them out at the library or sit in the chairs at the bookstore and read them. Unless a manga book cost less than $5, I wouldn't buy it.
They don't usually mark down paperbacks and certainly not for an author as popular as Laurell K. Hamilton. However the problem when it comes to a series I find is that the later books tend to start losing the momentum and lacks the imagination the earlier books did. I wonder how much pressure Laurell K. Hamilton is under to churn out book after book in a relatively short period of time.
I rely a lot on the library since books can be really expensive although I make some exceptions. I'm actually rereading the Anita Blake series right now along with a couple others since I'm strange and at the mercy of the library. They should mark books down when they aren't as long since I believe that would be the shortest book in the series.
Sorry about the book, that sucks. Leftovers, yum! Send some my way!
good luck with the list
