    If You Forget Me

    I want you to know
    one thing.

    You know how this is:
    if I look
at the crystal moon, at the red branch
of the slow autumn at my window,
    if I touch
    near the fire
    the impalpable ash
or the wrinkled body of the log,
    everything carries me to you,
    as if everything that exists,
    aromas, light, metals,
    were little boats
    that sail
toward those isles of yours that wait for me.

    Well, now,
if little by little you stop loving me
I shall stop loving you little by little.

    If suddenly
    you forget me
    do not look for me,
for I shall already have forgotten you.

If you think it long and mad,
    the wind of banners
    that passes through my life,
    and you decide
to leave me at the shore
of the heart where I have roots,
    remember
    that on that day,
    at that hour,
    I shall lift my arms
and my roots will set off
    to seek another land.

    But
    if each day,
    each hour,
you feel that you are destined for me
    with implacable sweetness,
    if each day a flower
climbs up to your lips to seek me,
ah my love, ah my own,
in me all that fire is repeated,
in me nothing is extinguished or forgotten,
my love feeds on your love, beloved,
and as long as you live it will be in your arms
    without leaving mine.

    Pablo Neruda

Still the best poem ever. And I'm in a very romantic mood, lol :]

    Diary Entry - Goal Update

Went to buy my books with Bryan yesterday, and now I can cross off buy my books from my little goal list. BUT I still need to sell back my other books, so I'm just going to slide that in the place of buy my books as another short term goal.

    5. Buy my books. Sell my old books.

Anyway, since this is a diary entry I'll just go through what happened yesterday in my life (just like a diary! >.>). So yeah, went to buy my books with Bryan and spent like $440, but I'll be getting my scholarship refund soon and that will take care of that expense.

Afterwords we went out to eat with Debbie and Justin at some asian place. Never going back there again, it was mediocre. Then me and Bryan went to the pool hall and well... shot some pool, lol. We played four games and I pawned him 3-1. So I rock. Lastly we went to this girl Marissa's house. We met her at a party and she invited us over just to hang out. Apparently she lives very close to me and we went to the same elementary school. Pretty small world. We ate dinner there too. Then I went home, watched the last two mintues of the Fiesta Bowl, and then I went to sleep.

Boring to you? Most likely. Boring to me? Nah, I had a lot of smiles.

    lol.

    Goal List

A long time ago I saw this site where you list 43 of your goals. After listing your goals you blog about your progress on each one, and people can give you cheers (which I would guess is an equivalent to eprops on xanga) to comment on your blogs and progress on such goals. The site was aptly named 43things.com. You should check it out, it's actually pretty swank. Anyway, since I'm a Xanga bitch I have decided to do the same thing here. I will list out a few my major goals and blog about my progress on each one (if any such progress does occur >.>).

I think it's a pretty good idea to write down your goals so you can see them in black and white. It helps you remind yourself what your goals are because in such a busy world as ours people tend to forget their goals in the muddle of everyday life.

Writing out 43 goals is a bit much for me, so I think I'll boil that down to twenty. Five short-term goals, ten mid-term goals, five long-term goals: so twenty goals in total. So here's at it:

    Short-term
    1. Get new glasses, and not those thick rimmed emo ones. Those are really gay.
    2. Get a new camera. Last one was dropped in a lake. :[
    3. Find an environmentally friendly way to get rid of old computers, and then... well, get rid of mine. lol
    4. Install CFW.
    5. Buy my books.

    Mid-term
    6. Get straight A's. (neverending)
    7. Find a job (at UNLV).
    8. Get a laptop.
    9. Apply for more scholarships. (always ongoing)
    10. Learn and memorize 30 new songs on the guitar.
    11. Get better at basketball.
    12. Reclaim your five-minute mile.
    13. Finishing Learning (inside thing, most people won't get it).
    14. Get your own Wii!
    15. Learn and memorize 10 new songs on the piano.

    Long-term
    16. Get a new car.
    17. Get into medical school.
    18. Get an Alaskan Husky and Siamese. I can't do this until I'm an adult with my own house. :[ So long-term it will be.
    19. Go to a Superbowl.
    20. Get married.

Well I'm off to accomplish my goals! (not. I'm going to eat then I'm watching more football.)

    So...

Yesterday, I didn't know it was new years eve until it was about two hours before midnight. Sleeping during the day and going out during the night really has messed up my sense of time. Anyway, I didn't do much for new years. As is my tradition. Plus, I've been out at parties for most of the week so I thought a day inside would be a nice change of pace. Though living in Vegas it's kind of contradictory not to go out on new years, but whatever, haha. I like staying in sometimes. Partying isn't really much of my scene in the first place.

So yeah, my new years was the usual. Stayed up until the wee hours just thinking about the past year, reflecting, while listening to the background music of my guitar. It was a really nice and quiet new years. My thoughts eventually led me to what my priorities were throughout the year and how they have changed, if at all. I really could only think of a few important things that I had based my life around the past year.

    School. Dance. Music. Writing.

When I listed them out I thought to myself, How artistic of me. That made me lol.

Here's a cool picture of my favorite guitar, which I dare not touch. This is the special guitar only for special occasions.

I usually just use my fender. I leave this one in it's case. ;]
