1st posting via the Weekend Quotalizer...(helped by the one bottle of Heineken, yeah, alcohol gets to me fast.....)

I let the book of quotes fall open to where it would...and found Ian Dury...

I remember watching Ian Dury on television - way back...and he went into a mental home for youngsters suffering from depression and schizoprenia. (He was always a very concerned person...and suffered himself from polio.) He got all the usual taunts from the idots at school - but he rose above it all...and became a success.

Remember the song "Manic Depression"? (It was from that period.) See...I really AM British!

When I say "he went into a mental home", I, of course, mean that he went into the home to publicise the condition - not that he was an inmate. (I just thought that I had better clear that up.)
