I am multidimensional.

There is more to me than my job.  Or lack thereof.

There are so many things I can do.  Because I've done them.

I can teach.  Train.  Write.  Read.  Converse.  Draw.  Fumble at electric bass guitar.  Pick out songs by ear on a piano.  Listen.  Make love to a woman.  Laugh with children.  Climb trees.  Ride a bike.  Discuss politics.  Form and express opinions.  Come up with startlingly original ideas.  List and sell stuff on Ebay.  Think.  Daydream.  Enjoy a glass or 2 of wine with dinner.  Type.  Change oil on my cars.  Rake leaves.  Fix kitchen light switches that break.  Run a vacuum cleaner.  Clean up the kitchen after dinner (I never thought it was fair for one person to do both jobs...and we're ALL better off if I clean rather than cook!).  Flirt.  Fix minor PC issues.  Drive a car.  Discuss automotive/technological history.  Lie on the grass and look at the stars.  Tutor.  Research stuff on the internet.  Build model cars.  Dream of driving a Bugatti Type 57 down a winding road in France.  Admire architecture by Frank Lloyd Wright.  Watch trees silhouetted blackly against the setting sun.  Have lovely music bring tears to my eyes.

And so much more.

I don't know about a job, sweetheart, but you fit my priorities to a T.  Ever think about visiting the Pacific Northwest?  Just let me know, you'll be more than welcome here!!!

We share many talents, along with graying beards and taste in music.  However, trees don't like me climbing them anymore, maybe cause I spend too much time in the kitchen...

It took four months for me to find a job when I folded up in Tennessee and moved back to Mississippi.  That job led me to another unemployment period and to another job that connected me to the one I have now since May 15, 2000.  I have never been happier with a job as I am with this one.

You are special and unique and have great worth, job or no job.  As long as you keep putting one foot in front of the other towards your future, you are exactly where you are suppose to be right now.

I would be happy to send my book on Richardson, Sullivan, and Wright to you once the semester is over. It's a thin little book, but pretty darn interesting (even though I know nothing about architecture!)

You are a wonderful human being, and if I had a job to offer or any leads towards a job, believe me, I'd pass them along.
