33 years ago Former Mamas and the Papas singer Michelle Phillips marries actor Dennis Hopper. They divorce 8 days later. (1970)
29 years ago The Rolling Stones' "It's Only Rock N' Roll," their last album with guitarist Mick Taylor, turns gold. It's their fourth straight Number One album. (1974)
28 years ago The Marshall Tucker Band performs at the Fox Theater in Atlanta for a benefit show for presidential candidate and former Georgia governor Jimmy Carter. The president of Capricorn Records, Phil Walden, sponsors this concert and ultimately, many more with his other acts including the Allman Brothers. (1975)
22 years ago Peabo Bryson's "Let the Feeling Flow" enters the soul chart, where in its twenty weeks on the charts, it climbs up to number six. (1981)

More than I ever could have hoped to know.  I mean, U2 and the Marshall Tucker band are worth noting, but come on, my man, who really cares about Debbie Gibson's seance anymore?  I didn't even care about her when she was popular—and I was the right age for it!  *s*
