I know what one is...

My grandparents have a player with a bunch of old records. Does that count?

I still own and play my albums. I share them with my kids and they think it's great - until they skip! I have my 45's and LPs, also my grandparents 78s and one of those big "console" stereo cabinets to play them on.

Last time I owned one, I was a little girl dancing around my basement to "Foot Loose."  If a record could be worn out by excessive use, that one was probably at risk LOL

John Lennon's Double Fantasy, some Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Elton John, Beatles and (of all things) Men at Work are all I have left.  However, I no longer own a turntable.

Still have some 45's and albums packed away somewhere...I think!  I've moved so many times in the past several years and seems with each move gotten rid of things...but I'm thinking(hoping) they're at my sisters somewhere!

Haven't had or even seen a turntable in YEARS!!!  And you know, its really hard to even FIND them anymore!!!  ~L~

I have a boat load of records but my turntable is worn-out. My 21 year-old son collects vinyl and has a turn-table.

wel, funny you should mention this. i use to be an avid collector. i had thousand of lp's. my house was robbed back about 11 years ago and over half my collection was taken.

i dint have the heart to purchase another lp. it just depressed me to even play them. the rest of my collection just sat in boxes in my garage.

well..time goes by and my kids are avid music fans and had been rumaging through the vinyl and to summarize, we are pulling out the lp's and i bought a vintage phonograph on e-bay. can we say record party??

when i was a little girl () i had a bunch of 45's with kidsongs and sesame street and things on them, and my own turntable. and my parents had a ton of albums and a big cabinet style turntable. all the records still exist in their basement (except some of the 45's which went the way of the garagesale) but when we moved about 5 years ago, my stepmother dropped the stereo and it broke for good so all the great albums (huey lewis, the big chill, alman bros. etc) are now useless....

I do. I still buy records. And I'll eventually inherit my grandma's records and my parents. Records are awesome!! And it's really hard to find a record player, then to find one that can play more than one record at once is impossible. I tried, ended up with the player that only plays one. The only time my parents listen to their records is at christmas time, so I'm usually sneaking theirs up into my room to listen too. :)

I know what they are.  I don't have any anymore.  The ones I did have I made CD's of before the record player bit the dust.

I own a stack of LPs but I don't have a turntable any more. I need to find someone who does so I can put them on tape or maybe even cut them to CD. A friend recently told me that it is the fad at the moment to play records at Rave Parties... you know the ones where everyone takes Ecstacy and stays awake dancing all night instead of getting drunk and going home early like in the good old days
