I am a big fan of YUI. She's just about the only artist in the world whose works I'm willing to fork out actual money for. And if you know me, I will only spend money on things that I really love, such as books and anime. In fact, I got YUI's first album, From Me to You, just the other day. Its imported, of course - I'm not about to order it from Japan just yet. Maybe when I have more money...

Anyway, YUI has released her 2nd album Can't Buy my Love. this comes hot on the heels of her 5th single CHE.R.R.Y (which is really nice). I can't get this in Singapore yet, but I suppose its only a matter of time before it reaches our shores. And then I would be able to support my favorite artist. YUI FTW!
Unlike other pop artists of our generation, YUI tend to play her songs acoustically. The gentle plucking of guitar strings and the smooth, calming quality of YUI's voice makes for a really beautiful combination. Of course, she has proved that she can do rock as well, with the success of her previous single, Rolling Star, which was the opening theme of the popular anime Bleach. I couldn't get Rolling Star out of my head after hearing it, and it is, IMO, the best of the Bleach openings so far.
Can't Buy my Love boosts a number of quality tracks, some of which came from her previous singles and some new ones. Track listings are as follow:
1. How crazy
2. Rolling star
3. It’s all right
4. I remember you
5. RUIDO
6. CHE.R.RY
7. Thank you My teens
8. Umbrella
9. Highway chance
10. Happy Birthday to you you
11. Winding road
12. Good-bye days
13. Why?
Rolling Star, I remember you, CHE.R.RY, and Good-bye days are all songs for YUI's previous singles. Of the four, I Remember You and CHE.R.RY are the best, IMO. I'm currently listening to the rest of the album, and its really growing on me,especially It's All Right and Winding Road.
