This post is gonna be quite image insensive, so I hope that you have a fast connection.

Shana-chan, man how I love you. I would gladly eat melon-pan everyday of the week if you would just live with me. :P
Spend the entire afternoon at Suntec City today. I was, of course, visiting Kaleidoscope, which is the first local doujin and manga convention in Singapore. There's a whole bunch of talented artists there, many of whom drew some really beautiful pictures on the spot. They also had lots of other pictures by independent artists who sent in their works to be displayed in the gallery. Some works by various animation studios were also displayed.

I think that Mr. V will like this one. Kingdom Hearts Org!

Zark!!!

A nime bookmarks for sale. Anyone wants one?
The anime club from NUS, SP and NTU had booths there too. Mostly they were selling fanart bookmarks they drew. I bought 2 Lucky Star bookmarks. KagamiXKonata FTW!!!

A shot of Chungyi's booth. Where's my 10th volume of Rosario Vampire???
Chungyi, the major manga publishing house in Singapore, also had a booth there. Too bad they didn't have the issues I wanted, else I would have bought some more things. As it is, I got myself a copy of MUGEN, which is full of works done by local manga artists. Lets see how well our local talents stand when compared to those from Japan.

*Edit* This belongs to BlankBook Studios. Thanks to Eva from ComixPandora for the head's up!
Comix Pandora, as usual, had a booth there as well. The last time I saw there was during Cosfest this year. Heard that they would be setting up another booth at during EOY at the end of this year. A
nyway, they had this really LOL self produced book there. A FFVII : AC doujin. It really got me laughing with all the japs at the characters from FFVII. RenoXRude? Classic. Vincent Valentine = Poser. Cloud getting hammered every which way. ROFL.*Edit*: Remember the FFV::AC doujin I was talking about? It actually was done by BlankBook Studios, not ComixPandora. They (meaning ComixPandora, BlankBook Stuidos, and Collateral Damage Doujin Studio) were all sitting at the same table, leading me to make that mistake. So if you guys want a really good FFVII:AC doujin, please visit BlankBook Studios. lol
Darn, I forgot to take a shot of the FFVII doujin. Bugger.

A shot of the KKnM booth.
But the biggest laugh I had there was at the KKnM booth. These guys appear everywhere there's a gathering of anime/manga fans. But its their job to do so, I guess, being pretty much the most popular shop in Singapore to get anime merchandise. So, where was I? Ah, yes...
DANGO GARKAZOKU!!!!! Comes with Naisu Boat on the back.

Instant win. All your base are belong to Dango. You have no chance of surviving
School Days Nice Boat.
Epic.
Before I left, i saw Zer0 there. If you have been keeping up with the news, you would know that this is the same Zer0 who organized the People's Action Figure Party back during the height of the Odex saga. He has also recently appeared on Get Rea! on Channel NewsAsia. Here's a link to his blog if you don't ready know where it is.
http://zerohero.textfiend.net/
The only reason I knew he was Zer0 is because of the "SEELE 01 - SOUND ONLY" Cospa T-Shirt he was wearing when he appeared on Get Rea!. But I got a headup's when I saw his name on a sign up form in one of the booths, so I kept my eye out for anyone who looks like him. He comes across as quite a nice guy, really.
*Edit* Do visit Zer0's blog using the link above. He has lots more pictures there, and has shots of ComixPandora and Collateral Damage's booth which I don't have, as I threw the whole lot of them together. lol Sorry about that guys! And oh, he has a good shot of the people who worked hard to bring us Kaleidoscope, so go take a look.....And I need to get myself a better camera to take better photos....
But i mainly spent my time watching these guys stunting their stuff. Man, they weren't kidding when they said that there would be artists there. These guys can draw. Very well.

First, the rough stach....

Then you color in the skin...

Time for the hair...
This is going to need some work...
Putting on the finishing touches...
And there!
Shana-chan in all her fanmade glory!

I want to draw like that.
And here's one of Clannad. I wasn't here when he started, which was a pity.

Anyway, this guy was already coloring in Kyou's hair when I got there.

Just about finishing up Kyou...Time for Nagisa.

Now loading Nagisa. Please wait...

404 Error. Page could not be loaded. Please try again when the artist returns from his break.
Nagisa's completed! Its almost done!
The final completed work.
I felt like taking down the whole thing and bringing it home to display it at my desk.
Tomoyo!
I have more photos, but of course I can't put them all up. To see all my shots, please visit my photo blog in Xanga. Cheers.
More Tomoyo for more love. RWAR.

Hi Stifler, just to inform you that the photo you wrote on "Comix Pandora booth", with FFVII AC on the booth, and etc, are not from ComixPandora. They belong to BlankBook Studios, which was in between Collateral Damage Doujin Studio and ComixPandora.
It's their credits, not ComixPandora.
Thank You!
Hi Stifler, erm, sorry to trouble you, that photo above the line "Comix Pandora. Yup, that's all fandrawn." doesn't belong to ComixPandora at all, It belongs to BlankBook Studios.
I also know that you are kind of mixed up, as the 2 days, people ask us (ComixPandora) about the FFVII Doujinshi, and ask Blankbook Studios regarding our newsletter.
lol No problem. Thanks for point out my mistakes. It has since been edited. Hope you guys keep up the good work!
Hi Stifler, a big THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT to local doujinshi group and local artists.
