• Coming of Age

  Turned 20 three days ago, on July the Fourteen. Many thanks to everyone who sent me their well wishes - JJ, the Knight, ZQ, and Chaos. You guys are great. Too bad I couldn't come out to celebrate with you guys. Was on a two day exercise, with my entire team deployed outfield. That certainly is an "eventful" way to spend one's birthday. >.>
  
  

  
  

  
  Well, at least there was a silver lining to spending one's birthday in the army. As luck would have it, I wasn't the only one whose birthday fell in July. In fact, we had 4 consecutive birthdays, with Tam's on the 13rd, mine on the 14th, Neo's on the 15th and some random MT line driver who just happened to come along with the duty team that day. And oh, The Black is due to have his the following Monday as well, so we drew him in.  So our CSM went out and bought a cake for all of us. Was a little embarrassing, but at least I got to drag some other people down in the mud with me. After all, if life gives you lemons, throw them at other people.
  
  It has also been about a year or so since I started blogging about anime. Sure, this blog itself has been around for a while, but in its early stages, I wasn't paying too much attention to it. It was yet another random blog in the vast blogosphere, with some random dude rambling mindlessly about his life. And not often too - posts would only appear once every blue moon. Like many others of its kind, it was doomed to die.  Then I started talking about the animated world, and never once looked back. Guess that's what kept this site alive - moe little animated girls. So therefore, I declare the 14th of July 2008 to be the first year anniversary of The Eternally Scarlet Moon, through it wasn't called by that name. In fact, it didn't really have a name before I started calling it The Eternally Scarlet Moon, but never mind that.

  Right, so anyway I have here in my hands a long list of things I would like to say to the people who had been with me in my life. If you would excuse me....*Unrolls scroll* ......This is taking a while.....*roll, roll, roll*...... Gah, heck. Who needs a scroll anyway? My notebook here would do just fine. *whips out a laptop* Right. *Ahem* Please excuse the Singlish - its just me slipping into my own native tongue. lol Makes you wonder, huh, if Singlish, a corruption of the English language, can be called a native tongue.
  
  To Chaos: Dude, going to ORD soon, so don't pull any stunts while you are staying out. :P Of course you would feel messed up if you sprint after drink beer, that much is obvious lol. Thanks for everything you've done the past 14 years! And BTW, the episodes you want are sitting in my hard drive. If you want anything else, just drop me a call. :)
  
  To The Knight: Dude, has your understudy arrived yet? Don't try to work so hard lah - NS isn't really worth it, now that I realized. Do a good job, and you will only be rewarded with more work. Man, I'm starting to behave alot like Wally. lol
  
  To JZ: So long already still wear CV ah? Hurry up and buy a proper uniform, why don't you? lol Remind me to visit your new house someday. And have you gotten your PS3 yet?
  
  To Diva: You seriously need to update your blog more often. Enjoy your few remaining weeks of holiday before school starts! Pray that everything goes well with you.
  
  To JJ: Hey girl, thanks for everything. Lets meet up again some other time!
