  • Let all the earth rejoice!

Hello all... it hasn't even been a month yet since I last wrote.  Wow.  I'm making some improvement.  I've been back at Wheaton for three weeks now.  It seems like two months.  Classes are in full swing and life somehow has gotten even fuller.  I use the word "fuller" instead of "busier" intentionally.

There's a foot of snow on the ground here but somehow I've acclimated to the cold weather.  Thirty degrees is shorts and t-shirts weather.  I have survived -20 degree temps and 120+ degree temps now.  I consider myself accomplished.

    *sigh*

Oh yeah.... here's the real reason I'm writing.  I got that itch again.  That dangerous, exciting, fun itch on my feet again.  Remember all those commercials at the World Cup a few years back when Beckham and Owen and Henri were dealing with it?  Yep.  I've got chronic footballitis.

Over the last few weeks I've been training on my own, getting back into shape and working with the ball.  Yeah, so I'm out of shape, but amazingly my touch is better than ever.  Wow.  I talked with the assistant coach on Tuesday and he really encouraged me to try out and had wondered why I didn't try out this last fall.  I could have had a national ring by now, he said.    Haha.  I'm going in to talk to the head coach on Tuesday.  Hurrah.

    Yours truly,

    Miss MacGyver
