Finally getting a few minutes to update. I'm tired of cold weather, is spring actually coming to Ohio this year? I am honestly not sure.....

Easter, the REST  of the Christmas story!

Christmas is SO much easier to celebrate. All that cooing and ahhing over a baby born in such miraculous circumstances. All the world loves the story. Not so of Easter. To end a celebration at the manget is to MISS the ENTIRE plan of God. To end at the CROSS, is nothing more that a slight contiuation of a man's historical life on earth. We MUST celebrate the Resurrection.  Chirstianity hinges on it. History acknowledes it. Changed lives authenticate it. No other life in history has had the impact of Christ. NONE!
You cannot claim that Christ a prophet, a good, moral teacher, a great philospher or "just a good person." He made NONE of those claims. When asked if he was THE Christ, the Son of God, he said, "It is as you have said."
That leaves 3, and only 3 options:
He was a liar: Knowingly deceiving everyone about who he was, and yet preaching about love, forgivenss, righteousness and trusing in Him for eternal salvation. Not only a liar, but evil incarnate, deceiving others to put ETERNAL faith in Him. No,  histoical scholars do not even make this claim.
He was a lunitic: Classified in the same vein as one who  claims he is a tennis ball. No where in historical documents, the Bible or eyewitness accounts of His life is there ANY shread of evidence that his mental stability was suspect. In fact, pshchologists throughout history say that His words and teaching bring amazing healing and mental health to patients.
He was Lord: THE Christ, THE Messiah, the one prophisied for thousands of years as THE one sent by God to save the world from their sin and separation from God. THAT was HIS claim. Not a prophet, not a "good teacher", not an upright, holy man. No, THE Son of God. Whom others heard on the day He was baptized, "the heavens opened, and the Spirit  of God descending like a dove and lightning on Him, and a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son whom I love, with Him I am well pleased"
He said He is the Son of God.
Whom do YOU say He is? There are very few options.

How do you explain...
How do you describe....
A Love that goes from East to West
And Runs as deep as it is wide...
You know all our hopes
Lord, You know all our fears
And words cannot express the love we feel
But we long for you to hear...

So listen to our hearts
Hear our Spirit sing
A song of praise of hope
From those you have redeemed
We will use the words we know
To tell you what an awesme God you are.
But words are not enough,
To tell you of our love
So Listen to our hearts...

If words could fall like rain
From these lips of mine
And if I had a thousand years
Lord, I would still run our of time
If you listen to my heart
Every beat would say.
Thank you for the life
Thank you for the truth
Thank you for the way

So listen to our hearts
Hear our Spirits sing
A song of praise and hope
From those You have redeemed
We will use the words we know
To tell you what and awesome God you are
But words are not enough
To tell you of our love
So listen to our hearts
.....but words are not enough....
.....to tell you of our love
.....so listen to our hearts!

I've heard this song a ba-ZILLION times, and I still am moved to tears when I hear it....
Valentine's Day?
We don't know SQUAT about love.

Thanks God.........how do you explain????

Have a GREAT weekend!
... thought for the day...
If trees could scream, would we be so cavalier about cutting them down? We might, if they screamed all the time, for no good reason.

Ahh, redesigning is always fun. Thoughts, comments and suggestions are welcome. But then again, NO one visists!

Anyway, background picture is from Zion National Park, Utah.  Some of the most beautiful country God has created.
Thought for the day as I run....

If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."
