| | What's in a handle
The problem with choosing a username at Xanga is that if your use your own name, you loose all anonymity, and if you choose a handle, it sounds like a really good idea at the time, but before too many full moons have passed, you think what the hell was I thinking! I quite liked writing at Xanga, being myself, but then one day I discovered I really needed not to be found.
I did the unthinkable thing. I started a new blog with some kind of username that sounded good at the moment. And here I am, doing the unthinkable thing again! It would be so much easier if Xanga would just allow us to change our usernames. Setting up a new account is hard work and waste of more cyberspace. How could they possibly expect a woman to stay with the same username for years and years? Not very likely, if you ask me.
So here I am. Once again with a new name. Mostly because I got bored. And when a horrible little stalker subscribed to my site, it clinked the deal for me. Time for a new site.
So here it is. Spick and span. Ready to go. Look remarkably like the one before, but hey, as a simple classic xanga user I do not have many options to redecorate. One day, when I can be a more consistent Xanga user, I might pay the subs again, but until then, this will do. |
