Time To Make The Donuts

Today is inventory day. I'm up at the ass-crack of dawn trying to get my mind alert so I can tell the ghetto workers of our inventory company "yes....that one plate is worth $4,000.00" and "yes...that one vase is worth $21,500.00." over and over again.

I don't mind getting up early and actually counting our merchandise. It needs to be done. I just hate those people that come into our store with their dirty hands and touch everything.

On a side note, I've learned that the "best" (and I use that term loosely) thing on television at this time of the morning is Coach, rerun on the USA Network.

Uh, here's thinking that this vase is worth way too much. Geeesh, I don't own anything worth that much. I almost did the inventory thing one time and glad I didn't. Too many numbers for me although I scored high on their simple math exam to get the job. I used to watch Coach all the time. I love reruns.

God, even I've seen Coach, although that was when I only had access to 4 channels and there was nothing else on at 2 in the morning. It's one of those programmes that makes you long for the adverts.

We don't have to do stock takes anymore, people get bussed in to do it. Doing it on paper was a nightmare, doing it with Psion hand-held things was better but not having to do it at all is even better. Now, though, it's only done once a year instead of twice and that does cause problems.

Blimey I sound grumpy. Not though.
