Need A Little Fun

This time of the year is all work, work, work for me. I have to go in early, I have to stay late. I have to work six days a week. I think about work all day and I think about work in my dreams (or at least I have in the last two nights). I really need this time of the year to be over.

See in my store, most everything that the customers want must be ordered 6-8 weeks in advance. That means that all of our customers shop now for Christmas delivery. The store is already decorated for Christmas and we've been selling nativity scenes and ornaments by the dozens.  It is not even Halloween yet.

We've been busy from the moment the doors open in the morning until we drag out asses out of there at night.

I really need to blow off some steam. I have these day dreams at work about being out drinking and dancing and feeling the beat of the music pulse through me. Having strange men bump and grind up on me on the dancefloor. Flirting and running back to my friends laughing and having a good time. Then, I snap out of it and I'm carrying someone's vase to their car.

This will go on for a while. The next six weeks will be Holiday Hell for me. Lots of shopping and shuffling and dusting and glitter everywhere (and not by choice). On the plus side, the two weeks before Christmas are very, very quiet....although I'll still be there six days a week.
