Currently Listening
Whatever & Ever Amen

- "battle of who could care less"

Went swing dancing at Glen Echo again tonight. It was fun! My feet hurt. Though I don't love swing music the way Adrienne does, I like going because it takes me to another place. I think it's funny that I was in a mosh pit on Wednesday and on Saturday I'm doing the Charleston again. (There was another guy who went to Warped there, and it really pissed me off.) Ah - I danced with a girl named Caroline. She goes (went?) to Springbrook, and the minute I told her I'd just graduated from Blake, she went on about how we were supposed to be rivals. (I thought we were rivals with Paint Branch.) Then we talked about the punks, and how they're just like the swing geeks who come to Glen Echo. Of course. Every school has their groups - preps, thugs, jocks, skaters, stoners, artists, breakdancers, punks, emo kids . . . and the swing geeks.

Not that I'm a swing geek, of course. This is only my third summer at Glen Echo. And though I don't love swing music the way Adrienne does . . . hm. Every time we talk about music I'm so tempted to make her listen to the "angsty rock music" I listen to. Don't know why. Maybe I'm a sadist like that.
