I am at a small hotel in Ocean Isle Beach, NC, an island that is ridiculously small and ridiculously cute and looks like it was built yesterday. We went to this little restaurant called Cinelli's or something like that. Real family place. They serve Freedom Fries because they won't say the "F" word. In the bathroom I had to wait behind three boys who were taking turns doing their business while the other two ran in and out of the stall. Some guy was like "have fun waiting." He saw the kids and was like "what the fuck?" I mean, I can't understand the people who started hating on France during the war and now rename food in some little fucking attempt to appear macho and one-up everyone in patriotism. But I really can't understand someone who'd cuss in front of little kids. Boo, I say! I love swears. Fuck, I love swears! But not in front of kids. I wouldn't cuss in front of my brother.

Or The Pastor. Have you seen this show Starved on FX? It's a comedy about people with eating disorders, and it's pretty fucking wild. I didn't know you could get away with swearing without getting bleeped. So I tried watching it in our room - with the whole family - and my mother, with the utmost conviction, said she wants to cut off my cable. Fuck! Nah, she won't do anything after this.
