Cuddle Parties
A Cuddle Party is designed for adults to get together and hug in a non-sexual way.
The parties are held all through the country and are said to help people achieve greater intimacy and communication. They are allowed to snuggle, nuzzle or even spoon. The people get together and talk first. And then everyone agrees to the touching part. Here is the link: Link

It's not for me. I am a very touchy-feely person, but it has to be with someone I know. I do not like being touched by people I don't know well.

with my boyfriend, i am a cuddle whore... but i dont think i could do it in a party-type setting because well... in my mind that's just effed up.

But I could see the benefits to this.
i think that touching is an important thing that is missing from our society these days. but this seems a little odd. is it not strange that we should have 'parties' to encourage appropriate touch? don't think i'd participate
I think it could be a helpful therapy for some people, but I don't think it's something that I need/would do myself.

How bout those people can work on REAL COMMUNICATION and not have to stoop to stupid groping parties to get physical affection from people in a non-sexual way. It's okay to have friends and touch them. That's what hugs are for.
There do exist reasons for physical boundaries in relationships. Removing those boundaries may give a novel thrill, but it's not necessarily a good thing.
