After class, I walked to the campus center for supper as I always do on Thursdays between my main class block and my night class. As soon as I entered the building, I was pleasantly surprised by the sound of jazz music. Shunning the escalators (reference to my escalator rant post), I took the stairs down to the first floor to get some food and found that the jazz music was not only relaxing... it was live. As everyone knows, there's just something about live music that you can't possibly get with a recording, so I grabbed my food and took a seat. The weather was perfectly reflective of the first song the band played: rain and clouds. Keeping with the music, it began thundering outside by the third song which had a more upbeat, faster paced sound. One of my first thoughts when I came to sit and listen was that it reminded me of an episode of Cowboy Bebop. Somehow, it so much easier to say "Slow down, take it easy," when listening to jazz. Maybe that's what Spike hears in his mind all the time.

For those that don't understand the Bebop reference, check out Cowboy Bebop sometime, even if it's just on YouTube.

    See you, Space Cowboy.

I love to watch an orchestra guided by the conductor play their pieces. It is a pleasure to the eye as well as the ears.

I am actually familiar with Cowboy Bebop!  (but only because X watched it)  Every time we see a Corgi, she makes a CBB reference.

(X came by while I was commenting and said that your "glumpability level" is 9.5.)

Cowboy Bebop was my first true love in animes. But it's also the one I haven't been the most devout to... Mostly because I refuse to watch it on the internet (I'm picky with certain flims/shows) so I have to go and buy it sometime.

@soNOTcool - Wow, 9.5, eh?  That's pretty awesome.  And yeah, I know exactly what you mean about corgis.  My roommates are fans of Cowboy Bebop too, and I think that was their deciding factor when they got a corgi last year!  Her name is Emma, but if it was a boy, I have no doubt that they would have named him Ein.

I'm with my family and we're staying here on our way home from Florida. We're at the Union Station or Crown Plaza, I forget what it's called. I went to the Circle Centre today? Once again, name uncertain. I like that big statue in the round-a-bout.

Haha, hope you can manage without the name.

@I_sleep_anywhere - Ha, the big statue is called the Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument.  If you haven't walked up to it and checked it out, I would recommend it if you get the chance.  Nothing really special I guess, but it's kind of cool.  Circle Centre Mall is nice, but a little on the expensive side.
