Jehovah - Our God

What do most people think of when the
name "Jehovah" comes to mind?

Most people tend to think of Jehovah’s Witnesses, the
annoying cult. For the vast majority of the world, it does
not occur to them that Jehovah is the name of the one
true God. The overwhelming majority of the world's
population has plenty of other gods they prefer. Most
Christians think Jesus is God. The ones who correctly
believe that Jesus is only God’s Son are few.
Only one-
tenth of one percent of the world’s population worships
Jehovah.

How important is Jehovah to the world
when He has such a miniscule following?

Ironically, the world is about to find out!

"How long, O God, will you allow our enemies to mock
you? Will you let them dishonor your name forever?"
(Psalm 74:10) (New Living Translation)

The people of the world have been free to ignore Jehovah
and His servants. There are millions of gods and beliefs
for the world to follow but the time is now – for these
multitudes of false gods, beliefs and their followers to
be summarily wiped off the face of the earth by the true God.

18 "That men may know that thou, whose name alone
is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth."
(Psalms 83:18) (King James Version)

Most Christians wonder what so special about this
God, Jehovah, when His Son is so marvelous.

"The LORD sees everything, and he watches us closely."
(Proverbs 5:21) (Contemporary English Version)

So what?

That is the attitude of the Jesus-worshiping nominal
Christians. They are taught by their priests and ministers
that God is love and doesn’t care about what we do.

8 "Whoever does not love does not know God,
because God is love."
(1John 4:8) (New International Version)

That is absolutely true! God is love. That is how the
ministers of Satan’s counterfeit religions convince
their congregations that "God and Jesus love us all
no matter what!" But because God is love –
He
does not tolerate hate from us!

15 "Break the arm of the wicked and bad one. May
you search after his wickedness [until] you find no
more. 16 Jehovah is King to time indefinite, even
forever. The nations have perished out of his earth.
17 The desire of the meek ones you will certainly
hear, O Jehovah. You will prepare their heart. You
will pay attention with your ear, 18 To judge the
fatherless boy and the crushed one, That mortal
man who is of the earth may no more cause trembling."
(Psalms 10:15-18) (New World Translation)

God also does not tolerate sin either!

17 You make God tired with all your talk. "How
do we tire him out?" you ask. By saying, "God
loves sinners and sin alike. God loves all." And
also by saying, "Judgment? God's too nice to judge."
(Malachi 2:17) (Message Bible)

4 "The person who keeps on sinning is guilty of
not obeying the Law of God. For sin is breaking
the Law of God."
(1John 3:4) (New Life Version)

The Bible is full of warnings about what God
expects from us and what He is going to do if
we do not meet His expectations!

10 "In that day," declares the LORD,
"I will destroy your horses from among
you and demolish your chariots.
11 I will destroy the cities of your land
and tear down all your strongholds.
12 I will destroy your witchcraft
and you will no longer cast spells.
13 I will destroy your carved images
and your sacred stones from among
you; you will no longer bow down
to the work of your hands."
(Micah 5:10-13) (NIV)

Jehovah’s people have been busy introducing Jehovah
to the world and making His plans known since His Son,
Our Saviour, began the work almost 2,000 years ago.

14 "When the good news about the kingdom has
been preached all over the world and told to all
nations,
the end will come."
(Matthew 24:14) (CEV)

Jehovah’s Witnesses have made the valuable information
widely available and met directly with people all around
the whole world for over one hundred years. As Jehovah’s
modern-day prophets,
they have finally accomplished
this staggering undertaking.

5 "Look at the nations and watch— and be utterly
amazed. For I am going to do something in your
days that you would not believe, even if you were
told."
(Habakkuk 1:5) (NIV)

14 "For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge
of the glory of Jehovah, as the waters cover the sea."
(Habakkuk 2:14) (American Standard Version)

The people of the world have been given a fair chance to
hear about Jehovah, His great plans and the future we face.

3 "Blessed is the one who reads the words of this
prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and
take to heart what is written in it, because
the
time is near."
(Revelation 1:3) (NIV)

For the people who listened to Jehovah’s
servants, the future is bright.

7 "All who are victorious will inherit all these blessings,
and I will be their God, and they will be my children."
(Revelation 21:7) (NLT)

For the ones who rejected Jehovah’s messages,
the future is short and calamitous.

8 "But cowards who turn away from me, and unbelievers,
and the corrupt, and murderers, and the immoral, and
those who practice witchcraft, and idol worshipers,
and all liars--their doom is in the lake that burns with
fire and sulfur. This is the second death."
(Revelation 21:8) (NLT)

But what will occur first?

13 " 'Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says:
In my wrath I will unleash a violent wind, and in my
anger hailstones and torrents of rain will fall with
destructive fury.
(Ezekiel 13:13) (NIV)

22 I will execute judgment upon him with plague and
bloodshed; I will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones
and burning sulfur on him and on his troops and on the
many nations with him.
(Ezekiel 38:22) (NIV)

The news media is busy reporting a wide variety of news
events daily. The amount of bad news being reported is
staggering! There is always going to be an abundance of
dismal political, sociological, military and weather-related
news from this point on.

Why?

"I will send them great trouble—all the things they feared.
For when I called, they did not answer. When I spoke,
they did not listen. They deliberately sinned before my
very eyes and chose to do what they know I despise."
(Isaiah 66:4) (New Living Translation)

This is the Time!

The people of the world now face only problems and
destruction on a global scale. The wildfires, storms,
earthquakes and floods will now only increase in
intensity and scope. The only people who will be
immune to these catastrophes will be Jehovah's
people!

"Anyone dwelling in the secret place of the Most High
Will procure himself lodging under the very shadow
of the Almighty One. 2 I will say to Jehovah: "[You are]
my refuge and my stronghold, My God, in whom I will
trust." 3 For he himself will deliver you from the trap of
the birdcatcher, From the pestilence causing adversities.
4 With his pinions he will block approach to you, And
under his wings you will take refuge. His trueness will
be a large shield and bulwark. 5 You will not be afraid
of anything dreadful by night, Nor of the arrow that flies
by day, 6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in the gloom,
Nor of the destruction that despoils at midday. 7 A thousand
will fall at your very side And ten thousand at your right hand;
To you it will not come near. 8 Only with your eyes will you
look on And see the retribution itself of the wicked ones.
9 Because you [said]: "Jehovah is my refuge," You have
made the Most High himself your dwelling; 10 No calamity
will befall you, And not even a plague will draw near to your
tent.
11 For he will give his own angels a command concerning
you, To guard you in all your ways. 12 Upon their hands they will
carry you, That you may not strike your foot against any stone.
13 Upon the young lion and the cobra you will tread; You will
trample down the maned young lion and the big snake.
14 Because on me he has set his affection, I shall also provide
him with escape.
I shall protect him because he has come to
know my name.
15 He will call upon me, and I shall answer him.
I shall be with him in distress. I shall rescue him and glorify him.
16 With length of days I shall satisfy him, And I shall cause him
to see salvation by me."
(Psalm 91:1-16) (NWT)

Many people reading this will dispute the validity of these
warnings simply because they do not agree with what they
learn in church. They will ignore this information and dismiss
this article from their thoughts.

"God cannot tell lies! And so his promises and vows are
two things that can never be changed. We have run to God
for safety. Now his promises should greatly encourage us
to take hold of the hope that is right in front of us."
(Hebrews 6:18) (CEV)

In the Last Days…

As this troubled era draws to a close, the people of this world
are exposed to more destruction and misfortune than ever before
in history. At the same time, knowledge and information has
not only become greatly abundant but more freely available
and more widely distributed than ever before in history.

When did all of the world’s woes start?

A distinct starting point may be debateable but the 20th century
is considered by many historians to be a unique time for our
world based on many objective observations:

"The whole world really blew up about World War I and we still
don't know why. Before then, men thought that utopia was in sight.
There was peace and prosperity. Then everything blew up. We've
been in a state of suspended animation ever since . . .
More people
have been killed in this century than in all of history.
"
—Dr. Walker Percy, American Medical News, November 21, 1977.

"Increasingly, the 75-year period from 1914 to 1989, covering two
world wars and the cold war, is being seen by historians as a single,
discrete epoch, a time apart in which much of the world was fighting
war, recovering from war or preparing for war."
The New York Times, May 7, 1995.

Was the Twentieth century warfare really that bad?

According to Encyclopedia Encarta:

"World War I, military conflict, from August 1914 to November
1918, that involved many of the countries of Europe as well the
United States and other nations throughout the world. World War
I was one of the most violent and destructive wars in European
history. Of the 65 million men who were mobilized, more than
10 million were killed and more than 20 million wounded."

From: http://encarta.msn.com/encyclopedia_761569981/World_War_I.html

"World War II's basic statistics qualify it as by far the most costly
war in history in terms of human casualties and material resources
expended. In all, 61 countries with 1.7 billion people, three-fourths
of the world's population, took part. A total of 110 million people
were mobilized for military service, more than half of those by three
countries: the USSR (22 million to 30 million), Germany (17 million),
and the United States (16 million). For the major participants the largest
numbers on duty at any one time were as follows: USSR (12,500,000);
United States (12,245,000); Germany (10,938,000); British Empire and
Commonwealth (8,720,000); Japan (7,193,000); and China (5,000,000).

The human cost is estimated at 55 million dead—25 million in the military
and 30 million civilians. The amount of money spent has been estimated
at more than $1 trillion, which makes World War II more expensive than
all other wars combined."

In addition, the 20th century boasts numerous minor wars,
rebellions, genocides riots and other assorted hostilities.

What about the 21st Century?

Our current era has all that plus terrorism on a large scale.

911

Why is this all happening right under God’s nose?

18 When that day comes, you will beg for relief from this king
you are demanding, but then the Lord will not help you."
(1Samuel 8:18) (New Living Translation) -Biblegateway

Yes, long ago, Jehovah’s people demanded a human king, just
like the pagan people, in place of Jehovah’s wise and loving care.
Consequently, the whole world has been ruled by many leaders
of varying abilities and hostilities, resulting in the worldwide
chaos we live with today.

What is God going to do about it?

Many people have many opinions about God’s actions.
The opinions vary widely depending upon which God
we are discussing.

Those devoted to Allah, the Moslem god, have some
peculiar beliefs. Amusingly, many Christians consider
Allah to be the same as the Christian God. They must
not consider the widely known differences between the
two.

What do we see almost daily in the news?

Bombs kill 20 as sheikhs meet, 18 near market

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- Three U.S. Marines and two interpreters
were among 20 people killed Thursday when a suicide bomber
attacked a meeting of tribal sheikhs in Iraq's Anbar province,
officials said. Twenty people also were wounded in the attack.
A military statement said the Marines were "killed in action
against an enemy force." However, Iraq's Ministry of Interior
said they died in the bombing. The military had said earlier
that coalition forces were among the casualties in the attack.
The suicide bomber struck the meeting in Karma, a town west
of Baghdad, an Interior Ministry official said.

It has become widely known that Allah’s people frequently
kill themselves and as many others as possible in service to
him. That is in sharp contrast to what the Christian God requires.

13 Thou shalt not kill.
(Exodus 20:1-20) (King James Version) -Biblegateway

While it is perfectly true that most Moslems are peaceful
and benign people, some of Allah’s henchmen are not!

Khomeini

Ayatullah Ruhollah Khomeini

Brazenly defying the West, he revived Islam's faithful
and authored a new form of religious government. The
prescriptions were often chilling
By MILTON VIORST

Over the remaining decade of his life, Khomeini consolidated
his rule. Proving himself as ruthless as the Shah had been, he
had thousands killed while stamping out a rebellion of the secular
left. He stacked the state bureaucracies with faithful clerics and
drenched the schools and the media with his personal doctrines.
After purging the military and security services, he rebuilt them
to ensure their loyalty to the clerical state.

From: http://www.time.com/time/time100/leaders/profile/khomeini3.html

From this we can clearly see that Allah is not concerned with
the upheaval in the world. Mostly, his followers tend to be the
cause of much of it in Muslim-dominated countries.

Will the Christian God do something about this violence?

For most Christians, their god is a simpleton who loves
and forgives everybody no matter what. The clueless
priests and ministers of mighty Christendom are a great
army of smooth-talking, easy-going yes-men who claim
that "God, our nameless trinity lord, loves gay people,
serial murderers, thieves, sociopaths, Atheists – just
everybody - unconditionally." That may be true for
Lord Nameless three-face, but it is not true of Jehovah,
the real God. Since Lord Nameless loves everybody just
the way they are, he is not going to be concerned about
the upheaval either.

On the other hand, Jehovah has not only made it clear
that He will do something about the world’s problems,
He has already started!

"...And you will destroy all who have caused
destruction on the earth."
(Revelation 11:18) (New Living Translation) -Biblegateway

Most of Christendom’s members are completely unaware that
Jehovah has begun His program of judgment and punishment,
yet, His Son gave the world ample warning of exactly what
signs to look for when the event would begin.

3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples
came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this
happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the
end of the age?" 4 Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one
deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming,
'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of
wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed.
Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation
will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There
will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these
are the beginning of birth pains. 10 At that time many will turn
away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and
many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.
12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most
will grow cold,
(Matthew 24:3-9, 10-12) (New International Version) -Biblegateway

All of these signs were present all throughout the entire 20th century!

What else did our Saviour warn us?

42 "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know
on what day your Lord will come.
(Matthew 24:42) (NIV) -Biblegateway

Did Christendom take notice?

To this day, very few people understand that Christ has
been present and hard at work fulfilling other prophecies.
The world’s woes are gradually switching from man-made
mayhem (crime, riots, arson, war, terrorism)
to natural
disasters
(lightning-caused fires, storms, flooding, tornadoes,
hurricanes, hail).

What is the distinction?

Man-made mayhem is inspired by Satan.

But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone
down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his
time is short."
(Revelation 12:7-13) (NIV) -Biblegateway

But the Natural disasters are Jehovah’s judgment.

5 But your many enemies will become like fine dust, the ruthless
hordes like blown chaff. Suddenly, in an instant, 6 the LORD
Almighty will come with thunder and earthquake and great noise,
with windstorm and tempest and flames of a devouring fire.
(Isaiah 29:5-6) (NIV) -Biblegateway

30 The LORD will cause men to hear his majestic voice and will
make them see his arm coming down with raging anger and
consuming fire, with cloudburst, thunderstorm and hail.
(Isaiah 30:30) (NIV) -Biblegateway

11 therefore tell those who cover it with whitewash that
it is going to fall. Rain will come in torrents, and I will
send hailstones hurtling down, and violent winds will
burst forth.
(Ezekiel 13:11) (NIV)
-Biblegateway

13 " 'Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: In my
wrath I will unleash a violent wind, and in my anger hailstones
and torrents of rain will fall with destructive fury.
(Ezekiel 13:13) (NIV)
-Biblegateway

We see these destructive events almost daily occurring in may
places around the world. To most people, these occurrences
appear to be merely a series of unfortunate events. Every time
disaster strikes, countries pledge humanitarian aid to the affected
residents. What these people and government leaders do not
realize now is that these events are not going to diminish. On the
contrary, these "unfortunate events" are going to increase greatly
and soon.

How bad will it get?

Bad enough that the humanitarian aid will run out.

Spate of disasters empties Red Cross coffers

Tue Jun 17, 7:08 PM ET

WASHINGTON (AFP) - A string of recent weather-related calamities
across the United States has left the American Red Cross low on cash
and struggling to provide aid to disaster victims, officials from the premier
US charity group said Tuesday.

"Our disaster relief fund is empty, but there's a lot of need out there and the
Red Cross is responding," Suzy De Francis, the chief public affairs officer
for the American Red Cross, told AFP.

From: http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20080617/ts_alt_afp/usweatherdisasterreliefredcross

Economies will face ruin.

Levee breaks as Midwest flood damage mounts

By Nick Carey 6/17/08

QUINCY, Illinois (Reuters) - Hundreds of volunteers on the
surging Mississippi River piled sandbags atop strained levees
on Tuesday as the worst Midwest flooding in 15 years delivered
a blow to the U.S. economy and world food prices.

The problems add up to more food inflation for not just U.S.
consumers, but also dozens of countries that buy U.S. grain.
The United States exports 54 percent of the world's corn, 36
percent of soybeans and 23 percent of wheat.

And huge populations will suffer.

Zimbabwe has shortage of food, abundance of zeros

By ANGUS SHAW, Associated Press Writer Wed Jun 25, 4:14 PM ET

HARARE, Zimbabwe - For many Zimbabweans, the chief
worry is not political violence or President Robert Mugabe's
iron hold on power. It's out-of-control inflation that puts
anything more than a single daily meal beyond reach.

Underlying the current political crisis is an economic meltdown
that has caused a shortage of food and all basic goods, while
leaving the people an abundance of zeros.

The official inflation rate was put at 165,000 percent by the
government in February, but independent estimates put the
real figure closer to 4 million percent.

Is there any good news?

The good news is that Jehovah’s people will not be affected by
any of these dire events. The troubles the world face are going
to increase rapidly to the point where the vast majority of the
world’s population will be quickly wiped out!

"And those slain by Jehovah will certainly come to be in
that day from one end of the earth clear to the other end
of the earth. They will not be bewailed, neither will they be
gathered up or be buried. As manure on the surface of the
ground they will become."
(Jeremiah 25:33) (Young's Literal Translation) -Biblegateway

But Jehovah’s people will live on forever in a paradise world.

34 Wait for Jehovah, and keep his way, And he will exalt thee
to inherit the land: When the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see
it. 35 I have seen the wicked in great power, And spreading
himself like a green tree in its native soil. 36 But one passed by,
and, lo, he was not: Yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.
37 Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright; For there is a
happy end to the man of peace. 38 As for transgressors, they shall
be destroyed together; The end of the wicked shall be cut off.
(Psalms 37:34-38) (American Standard Version) -Biblegateway

1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven
and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any
sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out
of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for
her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,
"Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them.
They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be
their God. 4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be
no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of
things has passed away." 5 He who was seated on the throne said,
"I am making everything new!" Then he said, "Write this down,
for these words are trustworthy and true."
(Revelation 21:1-5) (NIV) -Biblegateway

These very prophecies are unfolding now,
right before our very eyes.

Who Is Jehovah?

People have been asking this very question for many

thousands of years. The Bible has the story of the very
first person to ask this question:

1 And afterward Moses and Aaron came, and said
unto Pharaoh, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel,
Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto
me in the wilderness.  2 And Pharaoh said,
Who is
Jehovah
, that I should hearken unto his voice to
let Israel go? I know not Jehovah, and moreover
I will not let Israel go.

(Exodus 5:1-2) (American Standard Version) -Biblegateway

Well, as we know, the Pharaoh found out the hard way
just who Jehovah was! The people of Egypt soon found
out how absurd it was to trifle with Jehovah after ten plagues.

16 Pharaoh quickly summoned Moses and Aaron and said,
"I have sinned against the LORD your God and against you.
17 Now forgive my sin once more and pray to the LORD
your God to take this deadly plague away from me."
(Exodus 10:16-17) (NIV) -Biblegateway

What about today? Are people still impressed by Jehovah
and His mighty powers?

The priests and ministers of the Christian religions claim to represent
"God". The God of the Christians apparently does not have a name
yet every other god in existence does have a name.

What about the God of the ancient Jews?

Moses knew what God's name was before he went to see the Pharaoh:

15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou
say unto the children of Israel,
Jehovah, the God of your
fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the
God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you:
this is my name
forever
, and this is my memorial unto all generations.
(Exodus 3:15) (ASV) -Biblegateway

Is this god of the ancient Jews also our God?

29 Is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of
Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too,
(Romans 3:29) (NIV) -Biblegateway

Our creator has a name! He chose His name Himself. His
name is
Jehovah and He wants us to call Him by His name:

What happens if we call Him by His name?

32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call
on the name of Jehovah shall be delivered.
(Joel 2:32) (American Standard Version) -Biblegateway

Why does it matter what His name is?

5 For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or
on earth (as indeed
there are many "gods" and many
"lords"
), 6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father,
from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there
is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came
and through whom we live.
(1Corinthians 8:5,6) (New International Version) -Biblegateway

Most people in the world do not worship Jehovah. The
vast majority of people prefer to worship Allah, Buddha,
Jesus; Mary, the mother of Jesus, money, sex, a nameless
lord; almost anything but Jehovah. Then, these very people
who ignore Jehovah wonder why He ignores them.

Jehovah explained how He wanted to be worshiped
and we have his directions written down in the Bible
so future
generations can follow:

24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."
(John 4:24) (NIV) -Biblegateway

Why do people ignore Jehovah?

Why do the priests and ministers of Christendom claim to be
ministers of God” and yet teach their
worthless
beliefs?

Does Jehovah approve?

1 And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you. 2 If ye
will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto
my name, saith Jehovah of hosts, then will I send the curse upon
you, and I will curse your blessings; yea, I have cursed them already,
because ye do not lay it to heart.
(Malachi 2:1-2) (ASV)
-Biblegateway

We all have free will, the freedom to do whatever we wish.
We are free to do good things or evil things. Jehovah is
watching us at all times to see what we will do, just like a
Father watching his children to see what they will do.

Jehovah does not interfere with us, for now. He allows us to behave naturally and observes what we are doing. Can people worship Him the way they want to or not at all? That is not what His Son said.

46 "Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?"
(Luke 6:46) (NIV) -Biblegateway

We are living in the last days of “this world as we now know it”.
People are being separated into two groups: the "sheep" and the
"goats".

32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he
will separate the people one from another as a shepherd
separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put
the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. 34 "Then
the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who
are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the
kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.

41
"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart
from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire
prepared for the devil and his angels.
’”
(Matthew 25:32-34, 41) (NIV) -Biblegateway

Notice that we are not talking about separating the “sheep”
from the “wolves”.

Are there wolves?

Definitely. The wolves are people under Satan’s influence
who do his evil deeds.

29
I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come
in among you and will not spare the flock.
(Acts 20:29) (NIV) -Biblegateway

The wolves will not survive after Armageddon because they would
ruin the paradise conditions of post-Armageddon.
The goats will
not survive either for the same reason.

Are goats dangerous like the wolves?

No. Goats are not necessarily dangerous. They just do not
follow the shepherd like the sheep do. Goats like to “do their
own thing”. As a matter of fact, many goat-like people are
pleasant, friendly and helpful; all-around good people who:

      ·        Go to church, pray regularly and tithe!

·        Love Jesus

·        Never harm anybody

·        Mind their own business

·        Perform acts of kindness and generosity

·        Work hard

·        Love their country

·        Read their Bible

·        Teach Sunday School

·        Obey all of the Ten Commandments

The "sheep" and many "goats" do all of these things. The only
difference between a "sheep" and a "goat" is that
the "goat"
does not follow the shepherd’s voice.

27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
(
John 10:27) (NIV) -Biblegateway

And what is it that Christ expects from his sheep?

30
If you are not on my side, you are against me. If you don't
gather in the harvest with me, you scatter it.

(Matthew 12:30) (Contemporary English Version) -Biblegateway

37 He said to his disciples, "The harvest is so great,
but the workers are so few.
(Matthew 9:37) (New Living Translation) -Biblegateway

What kind of work does he expect us to do?

19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make
you fishers of men.
(Matthew 4:19) (King James Version) -Biblegateway

The sheep follow Jesus’ example and do God’s will. The goats do
not follow. The goats sit back and let the sheep
do all the work.

What good is it to be a goat?

The sheep are the ones who will be rewarded for their
devotion. But most people are goats.

What is that like?

Suppose we asked a painter to paint our house brown
and he instead painted it red.

Would we appreciate his hard work?

Should Jehovah accept what we decide to give Him
or should we follow what He says?

That is the difference between a sheep and a goat.

A Multitude of gods

Religion is a way of life for most people in this world.
Most of the world is non-Christian and those people are
ruled by numerous fanciful gods.

5 For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven
or on earth (as indeed there are many "gods" and many
"lords"),
(1Corinthians 8:5) (New International Version)

Some people do not believe in a "Higher Power" but about
two billion people of the world’s six billion population are
called Christians. These people not only "believe in God"
but they revere His Son.

6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom
all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one
Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through
whom we live.
(1Corinthians 8:6) (NIV)

The majority Christians have so many different beliefs that
there are over 3oo different Christian sects. Not only that,
but many churches of the same sect are in disagreement with
what doctrines to follow.

"Free Will Baptist Doctrine is distinguished from the majority
of Baptist groups (including the Southern Baptist Convention
and its offshoots, as well as fundamentalist Baptists) in that
Free Will Baptists reject the popular Baptist view of "unconditional
perseverance of the saints," (also commonly referred to as the
"Doctrine of Unconditional
Eternal security" or "once saved, always
saved"). Instead, Free Will Baptist Doctrine holds to the traditional
Arminian position, based on the belief in a
General Atonement,
that it is possible to commit apostasy, or willfully reject one's faith."

From:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_Will_Baptist_Church

That is confusing!

Who created this hodge-podge of contradictory beliefs?

4 Satan, the god of this evil world, has blinded the minds
of those who don't believe, so they are unable to see the
glorious light of the Good News that is shining upon them.
They don't understand the message we preach about the
glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.
(2Corinthians 4:4) (New Living Translation)

And what is the result?

1 You can be certain that in the last days there
will be some very hard times. 2 People will love
only themselves and money. They will be proud,
stuck-up, rude, and disobedient to their parents.
They will also be ungrateful, godless, 3 heartless,
and hateful. Their words will be cruel, and they
will have no self-control or pity. These people will
hate everything that is good. 4 They will be sneaky,
reckless, and puffed up with pride.
Instead of loving
God, they will love pleasure
. 5 Even though they
will make a show of being religious, their religion won't
be real.
Don't have anything to do with such people.
(2Timothy 3:1-5) (Contemporary English Version)

Good advice! People who really want to do God’s will
must distance themselves from the people who love this
world and the things found in it instead of God.

"For the world offers only a craving for physical
pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and
pride in our achievements and possessions.
These are not from the Father, but are from this
world."
(1John 2:16) (NLT)

The greatest problem this world suffers from
are the people who defy God and His laws.

"For you ignore God’s law and substitute your own tradition."
(Mark 7:8) (New Life Version)

"These people come near to me with their mouth
and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are
far from me. Their worship of me is made up only
of rules taught by men."
(Isaiah 29:13) (NIV)

This has been going on for a very long time!

15 Then all the men who knew that their wives were burning
incense to other gods, along with all the women who were
present—a large assembly—and all the people living in Lower
and Upper Egypt, [
a] said to Jeremiah, 16 "We will not listen
to the message you have spoken to us in the name of the LORD!
17 We will certainly do everything we said we would: We will
burn incense to the Queen of Heaven and will pour out drink
offerings to her just as we and our fathers, our kings and our
officials did in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem.
At that time we had plenty of food and were well off and suffered
no harm.
(Jeremiah 44:15-17) (NIV)

The most widespread and popular custom of the
majority Christians is their senseless idol worship.

25 Instead of believing what they knew was the truth about
God, they deliberately chose to believe lies.
So they
worshiped the things God made but not the Creator
himself
, who is to be praised forever.
(Romans 1:25) (New Living Translation)

What created things?

Idols Collage

Anything else?

22 "Jehovah himself produced me as the beginning
of his way, the earliest of his achievements of long
ago. 23 From time indefinite I was installed, from
the start, from times earlier than the earth. 24 When
there were no watery deeps I was brought forth as
with labor pains, when there were no springs heavily
charged with water. 25 Before the mountains themselves
had been settled down, ahead of the hills, I was brought
forth as with labor pains, 26 when as yet he had not made
the earth and the open spaces and the first part of the dust
masses of the productive land. 27 When he prepared the
heavens I was there; when he decreed a circle upon the
face of the watery deep, 28 when he made firm the cloud
masses above, when he caused the fountains of the watery
deep to be strong, 29 when he set for the sea his decree
that the waters themselves should not pass beyond his order,
when he decreed the foundations of the earth, 30 then I came
to be beside him as a master worker, and I came to be the one
he was specially fond of day by day, I being glad before him all
the time, 31 being glad at the productive land of his earth, and
the things I was fond of were with the sons of men.
(Proverbs 8:22-31) (New World Translation)

Yes, another widespread and popular custom of the majority
Christians is their belief that God’s Son, who was created,
is God Almighty, Himself.

But that is not what the Bible says!

10 But Jehovah is the true God; he is the living God,
and an everlasting King: at his wrath the earth trembleth,
and the nations are not able to abide his indignation.
11 Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not
made the heavens and the earth, these shall perish from
the earth, and from under the heavens. 12 He hath made
the earth by his power, he hath established the world by
his wisdom, and by his understanding hath he stretched
out the heavens:
(Jeremiah 10:10-12) (American Standard Version)

The Jesus worshipers believe that their god, Jesus,
loves them no matter what. They don’t read the Bible
with any intention of learning something worth knowing.
If they really read their Bibles, they would notice many
ominous scriptures not discussed in their churches.

"For God carefully watches the way that people live;
he sees everything they do. No darkness is thick enough
to hide the wicked from his eyes. For it is not up to mortals
to decide when to come before God in judgment. He will
openly strike them down for their wickedness. For they
turned aside from following him. They have no respect for
any of his ways."
(Job 34:21-23) (NLT)

31 We know that God does not listen to sinners.
He listens to the godly man who does his will.
(John 9:31) (NIV)

This does not describe their happy god, Jesus.
They apply to his Father.

"How long, O God, will you allow our enemies
to mock you? Will you let them dishonor your
name forever?"
(Psalm 74:10) (NLT)

"Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached,
O Jehovah, And that a foolish people hath
blasphemed
thy name
."

(Psalms 74:18) (ASV)

Unlike Christendom’s preferred god, Jehovah has
requirements for all of us.

9 Don't you know that those who do wrong will have
no share in the Kingdom of God? Don't fool yourselves.
Those who indulge in sexual sin, who are idol worshipers,
adulterers, male prostitutes, homosexuals, 10 thieves,
greedy people, drunkards, abusers, and swindlers--none
of these will have a share in the Kingdom of God.
(1Corinthians 6:9-10) (NIV)

19The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality,
impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred,
discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions,
factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn
you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit
the kingdom of God. 22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-
control. Against such things there is no law. 24Those who belong
to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and
desires.
(Galatians 5:19-24) (NIV)

Not only does Jehovah have definite requirements
for us, He has penalties in mind for those who
blithely ignore Him and His requirements.

10 "In that day," declares the LORD, "I will destroy your
horses from among you and demolish your chariots.
11 I will destroy the cities of your land and tear down all
your strongholds.
12 I will destroy your witchcraft and you
will no longer cast spells.
13 I will destroy your carved images
and your sacred stones from among you; you will no longer
bow down to the work of your hands.
(Micah 5:10-13) (NIV)

"And the word of Jehovah continued to occur to me, saying...
‘An end, the end, has come upon the four extremities of the
land. Now the end is upon you, and I must send my anger
against you, and I will judge you according to your ways
and bring upon you all your detestable things. And my eye
will not feel sorry for you, neither will I feel compassion, for
upon you I shall bring your own ways, and in the midst of
you your own detestable things will come to be; and YOU
people will have to know that I am Jehovah.’ "
(Ezekiel 7:1-4) (NWT)

How likely are these penalties?

11 therefore tell those who cover it with whitewash
that it is going to fall. Rain will come in torrents, and
I will send hailstones hurtling down, and violent winds
will burst forth.
(Ezekiel 13:11) (NIV)

13 " 'Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says:
In my wrath I will unleash a violent wind, and in my anger
hailstones and torrents of rain will fall with destructive fury.
(Ezekiel 13:13) (NIV)

These prophecies apply aptly to the woes of the midwest, USA
where tornados and floods have been recent news. Also other
countries such as Myanmar and India.

What else does the Bible say will happen in these last days?

17 That is why Jehovah will not rejoice even
over their young men, and upon their fatherless
boys and upon their widows he will have no mercy;
because all of them are apostates and evildoers and
every mouth is speaking senselessness. In view of all
this his anger has not turned back, but his hand is
stretched out still. 18 For wickedness has become
aflame just like a fire; thornbushes and weeds it will
eat up. And it will catch fire in the thickets of the forest,
and they will be borne aloft as the billowing of smoke.
19 In the fury of Jehovah of armies the land has been
set afire, and the people will become as food for the fire.
No one will show compassion even on his brother.
(Isaiah 9:17-19) (NWT)

Fire has also been prominent in the news.

Smoky skies threaten health in fiery California

By DON THOMPSON, Associated Press Writer June 28, 2008

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Hundreds of lightning-sparked
wildfires have turned the air of Northern California into
an unhealthy stew of smoke and ash, forcing the cancellation
of athletic events and other outdoor activities.
Health advisories
urging residents to stay indoors to limit exposure to the smokey
air were issued Saturday from Bakersfield north to Redding, a
distance of nearly 450 miles.
More than 17,000 firefighters,
1,500 fire engines and bulldozers, and more than 80 helicopters
and aircraft were fighting more than 1,000 fires Saturday, said
state emergency services spokesman Kelly Huston.

In central New Mexico, a blaze caused by lightning that forced the
evacuation of 400 people was 35 percent contained. Thunderstorms
were forecast, and firefighters welcomed the possibility of rain but
feared that winds could change the fire's direction.

In Arizona, an effort to stop a blaze in the Phoenix suburb of Laveen
failed Saturday, forcing the evacuation of residents of 16 homes near
the brush-choked Gila River bed. The fire has almost doubled in size
in a day and consumed nearly 8 square miles, officials said.

This is only the beginning!

5 But your many enemies will become like fine dust, the
ruthless hordes like blown chaff. Suddenly, in an instant,
6 the LORD Almighty will come with thunder and earthquake
and great noise, with windstorm and tempest and flames of
a devouring fire.
(Isaiah 29:5-6) (NIV)

30 The LORD will cause men to hear his majestic voice
and will make them see his arm coming down with raging
anger and consuming fire, with cloudburst, thunderstorm
and hail.
(Isaiah 30:30) (NIV)

The nominal Christians who love Jesus but ignored
his
Father, Jehovah, made a big blunder.

1The LORD says, "People who never before inquired about
me are now asking about me.
I am being found by people
who were not looking for me
. To them I have said, `I am
here!'
(Isaiah 65:1) (NLT)

1 "I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me; I was
found by those who did not seek me. To a nation that did
not call on my name, I said, 'Here am I, here am I.'
(Isaiah 65:1) (NIV)

Jehovah sent his servants all over the world for the
past one hundred years to promote the true God.

2 "I opened my arms to my own people all day long,
but they have rebelled. They follow their own evil
paths and thoughts.
(Isaiah 65:2) (NIV)

The time has finally come for the people of
this world to pay dearly for their error.

I will send them great trouble—all the things they feared.
For when I called, they did not answer. When I spoke,
they did not listen. They deliberately sinned before my
very eyes and chose to do what they know I despise."
(Isaiah 66:4) (New Living Translation)

Americans' unhappy birthday: 'Too much wrong right now'

By PAULINE ARRILLAGA, AP National Writer July 5, 2008

Even folks in the Optimist Club are having a tough
|time toeing an upbeat line these days.
Eighteen
members of the volunteer organization's Gilbert,
Ariz., chapter have gathered, a few days before
this nation's 232nd birthday, to focus on the positive:
Their book drive for schoolchildren and an Independence
Day project to place American flags along the streets of
one neighborhood.

Joanne Kontak, 60, an elementary school lunch aide inducted
just this day as an Optimist, sums things up like this: "There's
just entirely too much wrong right now."

Happy birthday, America? This year, we're not so sure.
Stay-at-home-mom Heather Hammack grapples with tough
decisions daily about how to spend her family's dwindling
income in the face of rising food costs. One day, she priced
strawberries at $1.75. The next day, they were $2.28. "We
used to have more money than we knew what to do with.
Now, I have to decide: Do I pay the electric this week? Do
I pay for gas? Do I get groceries?" says Hammack, 24, who
lives with her boyfriend, a window installer, and their 5-year-
old son in a rented home in rural Rowlesburg, W.Va. "You
can't get ahead. You can't save money. You can't buy a house.
It just stinks."

What is coming up next?

"12 I will `destine' you to the sword. All of you will bow
before the executioner, for when I called, you did not
answer. When I spoke, you did not listen. You
deliberately sinned--before my very eyes--
and chose
to do what you know I despise.
"
(Isaiah 65:12) (New Living Translation)

"And those slain by Jehovah will certainly come to be in
that day from one end of the earth clear to the other end
of the earth. They will not be bewailed, neither will they be
gathered up or be buried. As manure on the surface of the
ground they will become."
(Jeremiah 25:33) (YLT)

But Jehovah’s people will not be affected
by the rest of the world’s judgment...

13 Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Behold,
my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry; behold,
my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty; behold,
my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be put to shame;
14 behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but
ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall wail for vexation
of spirit.
(Isaiah 65:13-14) (ASV)

...except to reap the benefit of their wise decision to
leave the mainstream Christians behind and follow
the true Christians, Jehovah’s people.

10 In just a little while, the wicked will be no more;
though you look carefully at his place, he will not be
there. 11 But the meek shall inherit the land and delight
themselves in abundant peace.
(Psalms 37:10-11) (ESV)

"The righteous shall inherit the earth,
And they shall live forever upon it."
(Psalm 37:29) (KJV)

34 Wait for Jehovah, and keep his way, And he will
exalt thee to inherit the land: When the wicked are
cut off, thou shalt see it. 35 I have seen the wicked
in great power, And spreading himself like a green
tree in its native soil. 36 But one passed by, and, lo,
he was not: Yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.
37 Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright; For
there is a happy end to the man of peace. 38 As for
transgressors, they shall be destroyed together; The
end of the wicked shall be cut off.
(Psalms 37:34-38) (American Standard Version)

Religion’s Failure Part 2

There must be hundreds, maybe even thousands
of gods and religions.

Where did all the false religions come from?

If there is only one true God, Why isn’t there
only one true religion? Who is responsible for
all of the evil that is in the world?

8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and
showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.

9
And he said to him - All these I will give you, if you will
fall down and worship me. 10 Then Jesus said to him, Be
gone, Satan! For it is written, You shall worship the Lord
your God and him only shall you serve.

(Matthew 4:8-10) (English Standard Version) -Biblegateway

From this scripture, we can see that Satan, the Devil,
wants to be worshipped
. Satan could not persuade
Jesus to worship him, but Satan knows how to trick us
into it. While it is true that relatively few people worship
Satan directly, The Devil has been wildly successful in
getting the vast majority of Earth’s inhabitants to worship
him indirectly for thousands of years now.

How is it possible to worship Satan indirectly?

Simply by not choosing to worship and obey Jehovah!
The Apostle Paul illustrated the principle clearly:

You cannot be drinking from the cup of Jehovah and the cup of
demons; YOU cannot be partaking of the table of Jehovah and
the table of demons.

(1Corinthians 10:21) (New World Translation) Watchtower.org

Right at this moment everybody living on this earth has
chosen the table they are feeding from. There is no middle
ground. Everyone has chosen to partake of either Jehovah’s
table or the demon’s,
whether they are aware of it or
not
. Most people are not even aware that they are feeding
right now at Satan’s table and have been all of their life! In
fact, most people consider themselves to be quite respectable
and reasonably faithful to their religion, therefore, they cannot
imagine being disrespectful or disobedient to our Heavenly
Father.

How can anyone be disobedient to Jehovah if he obeys
his priest or minister?

This is what Jesus, himself, had to say to the priests of
his day who were not properly doing their job of teaching
people the truth about Jehovah:

13 But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut
up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in
yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.
(Matthew 23:13) (New King James Version)
-Biblegateway

People depend on their priests and ministers to tell them
what they need to know but they instead tell people just
what they want to hear. This was prophesied by Paul
in a letter to Timothy almost 2,000 years ago:

3 The time is coming when people won't listen to good teaching.
Instead, they will look for teachers who will please them by telling
them only what they are itching to hear. 4 They will turn from the
truth and eagerly listen to senseless stories.
(2Timothy 4:3-4) (Contemporary English Version) -Biblegateway

Who do we trust? Who will tell us the truth? Can we find
the truth in all of the wild tales generated by Christendom?

Does any church of Christendom agree completely with any
other church? Why do they not agree? Are their beliefs
man-made doctrines?

Jesus had this to say to the religious leaders of his time:

27  Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites!
You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the
outside but on the inside are full of dead men's bones and
everything unclean.

(Matthew 23:27) (New International Version) -Biblegateway
