This week in my "social psychology of interpersonal relationships" class, we were talking about the physiological events that take place when a person is romantically attracted to another. However subjective that feeling may be, people who feel that they are falling in love are physiologically releasing an enormous amount of amphetamine-like chemicals into their brains.
I guess it's no wonder why people who are in love tend to act foolishly and irrationally - they're literally coked out of their heads.
