all the offensive rabble below.
From there he critiques all the insanity,
but there's one thing he doesn't know....
He is rather myopic.
He's proud of his shelf
'cause he built it himself
and it's rather a perilous climb.
Those who attempt it endure his contempt,
so he's lonely there most of the time.
And his favorite topic....
when he deigns to descend
is how mad is the world
and how shallow the minds
of anyone taller than him.
If someone approaches,
he just stares at their knees
and pretends nobody is there.
He's not truly malicious, just awfully suspicious.
"But," he thinks, "What do THEY care?"
His family announced a reception
where he'll be the honored guest,
with lettuce and liver and limburger cheese
all the things they know he loves the best.
Invitation dispatched by carrier dove!
It's quite a devious plan.
The heartrending words carried by that small bird...
