So today has been one of those days where I'm just dragging. Not getting enough sleep at night. I think I'm noctournal...seriously. I just have a hard time sleeping at night and it is rare for me to be asleep before midnight. Unfortunately, I still have to wake up around 7am and function the rest of the day. Not sure how that is supposed to work...today, it isn't working at all.

So of course, today is the day when I would have a 1/2 in of water covering my bathroom floor.

Half an hour ago, both of the boys said they needed to go to the bathroom. They did their thing then came back out and I helped them get redressed and all was well. Then it is brought to my attention (by Ian yelling "UH-OH...TOY-Yet paper Mama...TOY-Yet paper!!") that my bathroom has been T.P.'d by Austin (he's a sneaky little bugger).

So I tell Austin that he needs to clean up all of the toilet paper (RIGHT NOW!!!) or his little 3 year old life would be in danger. Austin disappears into the bathroom...after 30 seconds or so, I hear the toilet flush. It flushes twice more before I can put the baby down (watching Gabriella today), cross the toy strewn living room floor and  climb over the baby gate and reach the bathroom.

"Uh oh Mama...my all wet" says Austin.

The toilet is gushing water everywhere...there is unused toilet paper still sticking out of the toilet bowl. There is a good 1/2 inch of water covering the bathroom floor. There is no towel to be found and the garbage can is empty...no toilet paper there. sigh.

I remove Austin from the bathroom, biting my tounge....for fear of saying something I will most definitely regret. I have to run to the garage/laundry area to find a towel...its not neccesarily clean, but its dry. I put it on the floor. I'm gonna need a bigger towel...or as it turns out 3 more full sized towels. As I am standing barefoot in the flooded bathroom, both of the kids come to tell me that they are hungry and will most certainly die from lack of food before I finish cleaning the bathroom...I am also informed that the tv show is over ...and that one or the other stole their brother's balnket and there is much wailing/whining/and hysteria.

And that's when I overflowed...

It wasn't much prettier than the bathroom scene...

This time I wasn't able to refrain from saying regretttable things...though most of what I screamed was probably unintelligable....followed by general "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" which is sometimes pretty therapuetic...but today was really just ungratifying.

So now....the floor is dry, Austin has been told if he wants to keep his hands attached to his arms he better not touch the toilet paper...and I am venting to xanga...since no one under my roof is taller than a garden gnome.

Oh have mercy...its not even noon yet.

I just wrote an uber long blog and then my internet screwed up and erased EVERYTHING! Seriously...I've been on here for 45 minutes! I don't have tme to sit for another 45 min. now. So here it is in a nutshell:

God is amazing and is working in my heart, my marriage, our church, our lives.

I love Him...He is changing me....He is changing my husband...He is building up leaders...He is bringing revival. He wants us to stay. He wants us to grow...He wants us to connect and be used by Him.

Back home...feeling deflated. Too bad I don't look deflated! I gained about 5 lbs when I was in WA!! Yeah...I KNOW! So I am back to healthy eating and hopefully some exercise today. Tropical storm Fay finished going through this area yesterday, but there are still some small lightning storms on the tail end that are expected to hit this area today. It is sunny out though... but we will probably hold off on going to the beach even though I miss feeling the sand beneath my toes. Looks like we will be at home today. Josh is working all weekend, so it is just me and the kids.

I had a really great time back home. I got to see my family and friends and did alot of fun stuff. Niciole's wedding went great too. I also got tons of photos...most of which are still on Sara's laptop in WA She's going to send them to me soon. I am still on WA time so I am really sleepy. Didn't go to bed until 2 am last night (er...morning). Thanks to Lacey and Sara, I have a new throw pillow on my couch and a new canvas picture for my wall. It makes a big differrence.
