The Christmas Shoes

What Jesus Demands from the World

EDIT: Here's the song for those that it doesn't play for when you come to my site. If you've never heard this song you should give it a listen.

This song ALWAYS brings tears when I play it. I loaded it on my IMEEM music account. I don't have it in my xanga audio yet. Hope it plays for you. What a touching song though. Man, what if we all had that motive in our heart when giving. Just sitting here thinking of the words of this song and I thought of a comparison. Christ coming to earth to live a perfect sinless life so that His life could be transferred over to us, that we might be made beautiful before the Father instead of aweful sinners we are. No greater love there my friends. I'll do a post tomorrow night maybe on the authority of Christ. I'm nearing the end of my book I'm reading by John Piper. This little section was another one packed with good stuff. Have a blessed week everyone! Love yall!

RYC: You know every time I go to the store I forget about it.  I have to make myself a note to look for it.

oh yeah, i've heard that song...*sniffle
anyway, the reason i didn't commemento was b/c you asked what turns ppl off to Christianity and everyone had all these great comments about how Christ was a stumbling block and all that. So my comment felt very small and insignificant, but I'll comment it anyway b/c you caught me snooping. :D
Yes, I agree that Christ is objectionable to non-Christians just b/c he is a stumbling block to them and I can't remember everything else the other ppl said, but anyway...but what I wanted to say was that I think us Christians turn the "nons" off is b/c a lot of us are pretty hypocritical. We say we're different, but a lot of Christians are trying to live a double life-live that Sunday Christianity, but "blend in" w/ the world on the weekdays. If we truly lived radically different like Christ-if we were truly willing to give up things that seem small to us, then the objections may be louder, but there wouldn't be a general consences (sp) between a lot of ppl that Christians are hypocritical and/or legalistic. And I'm not suggesting we change our outward image, I'm saying we need a change of heart. What are we really excited about-the next new movie or Christ? We really need to stop being lukewarm Christians stradling the fence with a foot in the kingdom and a foot in the world. We need to reavaluate what's really important to us-Christ or our own little lives...
Anyway, that's one of my pet peeves...that Christians are always worried about our image when we should be worried about our relationship w/ Jesus. A lot of Christians don't really KNOW who He is, if you get what I mean (including me sometimes-it's easy to forget).
Sorry about all those spelling errors. :D lol, I'm not an English major for the grammar and spelling that's for sure. :)
thanks for stopping by my site & MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
p.s. The "we" in there would include me too. :)

My speakers aren't hooked up, so I can't hear the song, but I believe I've heard it before. Just wanted to say hi as well. Hope the weather is ok there, we keep supposed to be getting ice storms, but nothing yet. :)

Haven't listened to the song, but wanted to thank you and another "friend" for taking the stand that you have on Theo's site lately. It seems that he has kind of gone off the deep end in the posts he is now making. I know he likes to post controversial messages, but it's like he is searching TOO much for things to write about. I have gotten to where I find some of it pretty offensive. But, anyway... thanks for sticking in there!
