After Christmas Candy Sales/Multipost

WOOHOO!!!!!! Don'tcha just LOVE after Christmas 1/2 price candy. I went to Walmart the other day and LOW AND BEHOLD, what did I see. .49 cent boxes of Chocolate Covered Cherries. Can ya freeze those suckers. If so, I may have to go back and see if they still have some!

CCC's

What is your favorite after Christmas 1/2 price candy?

Ok, I said this would be a multipost. Here is another question I have and please, anyone who visits my site weither you are a first timer or regular commentor, give me an answer. I always put a song on my site now since I got a imeem music account. I can load any song I have on my computer to my account to play on my site. Recently I was on my xanga with my other computer at the office and only part of the song played, also on Jill's computer at home. But my laptop , wifes laptop and my other computer at the office, the whole song plays. Here's is my question. When you come to my site, does the whole song play, or only a section of the song, or does a song even play at all? If most of you only hear a section of the song, that's no good. I won't even bother with having a song, but if yall hear the whole song, I'll keep a song on there. Anyone have any favorites? I'll see if I can put it up.

Now for the last part of the multipost...yes, I've been tagged, first time in a while. battlelines414 got me, so here it is:

Four Jobs I've had in my life:
1) Kroger, sacker/produce worker  2) Janitor 3) Painter   4) Home Inspector

Four Movies I'd watch over and Over:
1) Star Wars movies 2) Jumanji 3) Lord Of The Rings Movies 4) Don't laugh  The Princess Bride. (That movie is a hoot, I love the one liners)
Four Places I've lived:
1) Jackson,Tn   2) Jackson,Ms  3) Bartlett,Tn 4)Memphis,Tn

Four T.V. Shows I love to watch:
1) Deal or No Deal  2) NCIS (actually any CSI show)   3) Numbers 4) Used to like Smallville, but since they changed the time and day, it isn't convenient

Four Places I've been on Vacation
1) Gatlinburg,Tn (once a year basically) 2) Hot Springs, Ark  3) Ft Walton/Destin,Fla  4) Ft Lauderdale,Fla once

Four of my favorite foods:

1) Seafood   2) Bread Pudding  3) Prime Rib   4) Fresh Veggies (Good ole Turnip Greens works everytime)

Four Places I'd rather be:
1) Playing golf on a PGA golf course  2) Fishing on the best lake in the world  3) Surf fishing    4) Shopping at the Tanger Mall in Pigeon Forge ( All these things would be AWESOME if they where done with my wife...fat chance since she hates golf and doesn't fish...the shopping, I'd have NO problem getting her to join!

Ok, I tag Copperknob929, Shortythechilehead,Hecalmsthestorm, and MRCDM

That'll do it for me. Hope everyone has a blessed and wonderful New Year!

~Grampy~

Hi Grampy,

Happy New Year!!!

I only hear a portion of the song. It kind of starts in the middle and then it ends early!

I know you can freeze chocolate. I don't see why you could not freeze the cherries!!!

All of a sudden, I'm craving chocolate.  Well, not all of a sudden, maybe I should say that my chocolate craving is now more intense!

I don't listen to the songs on people's websites.  It distracts me while I'm trying to read.  If I listen I want to sing instead of read or comment.

You are a candy nut, aren't you?

I do not hear any song at all.

Ok, ok, you tagged me.  I will get to it tomorrow!  But come on, shopping, really??   You had me with the golf and the fishing and then you had to throw in SHOPPING!

I hear the whole song--or the song until I click on comment..then it starts over.   I think you can freeze the choc. covered cherries and they'd be fine--If you find out this is the case--DON'T tell Stephen. I think he loves them as much as you do.

The CSI's are great aren't they?  Thanks for playing along.

Ok so here's the scoop!  You might try using the cherries for fish bate!  However the animals rights folks would probably have you locked up.  If you can still buy them, please do along with all the fruitcake leftover as well!  Then I won't have to politely refuse anyones offer for one!

I only get part of the song.  Once in a while it seems like I get the whole song unless I have my sound turned off!

Again you and I have things in common.  I worked Grocerys for 4 years.  Iwas maitainace at a Christian School for 6 years (did some janatorial things then), I'm a remodeler so I paint quite often, and do that related inspecting of homes for personal friends!  I also enjoyed the Princes Bride.

Last but not least  I hope to post an end of year post maybe even today!  Sorry it's been so long! :(       HAPPY NEW YEAR!  Ole Al

ps.  Two Wooden Crosses by Randy Travis, or Cats in the Cradle arrangement by Ricky Skaggs!

To answer your song question; if some don't hear anything it is their firewall. now I have tried just going to your site and get part of the song then I hit your imeem.com site on the bottem of your site page and still get just part of the song. ???? Hummm Oh my haven't ever been taged before , I'll work on that one for a later post.  GO TIGERS!!!!!

I got kick out of Al's comment about bait!!!! That's a HOOT!

Just went to the imeem site and what I got was just part of the song just like your site then the pop-up window came up to say I could hear the whole song if I signed in and am a member. Might be why as I am not a member and it will only play a little. You can hear it from your computer as you are a member.

Happy last day of 2007!
What are your plans for New Years Eve? We're going to have some friends over (estrella_girl and Estrella_Momma and crew) and probably play some games and who knows what else. With this crowd it's bound to be interesting!
Last night we had some friends over and some how my little brother convinced us to play hide and seek. It was so comical to see all the adults squeezing themselves into closets and behind doors.

Only part of your song plays for me. I hope you can figure it out! Things like that are so frustrating!!

Well... I have no idea what my favorite after Christmas candy sale would be because at our house after Christmas (or at least after New Years) begins a time of NO SUGAR!! An attempt to recover from the mega doses our systems have had to cope with through the holidays.

May the Lord bless you with a renewed heart this new year!
Father, would you
Incline our hearts to You and Your Word (Psalm 119:36)
To cause to slope toward You.
Open the eyes of our hearts to see what is truly in Your Word (Psalm 119:18)
That it would grab our hearts.
Enlighten our hearts (Ephesians 1:18)
We are distracted. Flood the eyes of our hearts with light.
Unite our heats to fear Your name (Psalm 86:11)
That we would stand in awe of Your character
Satisfy our hearts with Your mercy (Psalm 90:14)
So that we want You more than we want the world. So that we may rejoice!
That we might walk in a manner worthy of Your calling. (Colossians 1:10)

The whole song plays and I liked it..... perhaps us Canadians get this special privilege, but who knows. Speaking of privilege, you are a blessed man, Gene (just thought I would remind you in case you forgot).  May the Lord give you and your family an amazing 2008!

....Chocolate covered cherries, yuk, what a waste of good chocolate.....I am with 'what's-his-name-Al' idea of 'fish-bait-aternative-use-for-cherries'.

Take care, tty in 2008

Happy New Year!

Oooohhh, I should have gone to Wally World and checked on the candy.... :-9

I only get part of the song, but that is ok, don't change it for me. It may work better on a different computer.

Favorite candy 50% discount... would be anything chocolate/choc-peanut butter/some dark choc/maybe choc-mint. The one common thread? Chocolate Other kinds are good too.

Blessings!

Woohoo for cheap candy! That's just what I need. *rolls eyes* You don't have to worry about your weight, so be thankful!

Interesting survey. I've never seen that one before.

Thanks for the comment, btw. Happy New Years!

I'm pretty sure it would be fine to freeze chocolate covered cherries...you could do a test to be sure, though.

Hey, Grampy! No, I'm not getting married. I mentioned the dress in an earlier post but I should have mentioned it again in this one to avoid confusion. I found it at a Goodwill for $10, and it fits me like it was custom made! So I went ahead and bought it, since it's also the prettiest wedding dress I have ever seen! I'm very excited about it! I just need to avoid gaining weight in the next 5 or 10 years until I get married...

You were right! That story you read (did you write it?) was hilarious! Thank you so much for sharing the link. I also loved the cartoon of cutting down the cross. I guess I'll just have to subscribe now.

Don't snoop all the time so thanks for pointing me in the direction of an answer. Will continue to pray as you are aware we need to be faithful in holding fellow believers up in pray as life is not easy for anybody.

Joe's, ham, greens, & corn bread. Yummm No room for any cherrys. LOL!! All this food talk is making me want some biscuits and gravy this morning. Have a good weekend.
