And Wouldn't You Like to Know?

I would like to start by saying that it strikes me as silly that my stories and thought-provoking posts might get 3 or 4 comments, but a simple nine-word post gets 9 comments.

However, since you seem to be clamoring to know, and since I acknowledge a certain responsibility to my readers, I suppose I could divulge some details.

I do feel compelled, however, to point out that you aren't supposed to Kiss and Tell.  However, I suppose that's the price one must pay for being in the public eye.

Those of you who pay entirely too much attention to my weblog may recall that, in addition to being bitten by a lesbian a week and a half ago, a guy asked me out.

His name is Paul (good name).  We had originally planned to meet last Thursday, but I ended up cancelling on him.  This was for two reasons.  First and foremost, I was exhausted, and knew I wouldn't be good company.  Secondly, I wanted to see how he'd react to the postponement.  I figured if he brushed me off as a result, then I was better off not getting involved.

But lo, he did indeed call me yesterday.  So, after a few minutes to get ready, he picked me up and we went to Crew.  Had a couple beers, entirely too much food, and we were getting along quite well.  We discovered that while we both like mayonnaise, we both loathe ketchup.  To the point where just the smell of it can make us ill.

Anyway, he's not much into watching sports on TV, but he did notice that I was trying to find out who was playing Monday Night Football.  So, as we finished up eating, we decided to go back to his place "to watch the game."

I still have no idea who played last night.

After Not Exactly Watching the Game, we talked some, which was nice.  We both have Southern roots, and while we both like movies, neither of us has ever seen any of the Godfather movies.

And there was some cuddling action.  This was ridiculously comfortable.  He said he really wanted me to spend the night, but he wasn't going to ask, because he didn't want me to say "no."  And I told him I was glad he wasn't going to ask, because I'd have to say "no," even though I really didn't want to say "no."

So we made out some more, and then, reluctantly, I came home.

He caught me, though.  My M.O. is to tell the other guy to call me.  This makes him responsible for showing a continued interest.  However, about a block before we got to my place, he told me I'd have to call him later in the week.  I was getting ready to suggest the same to him.  The boy beat me to the punch! 

I called him on my way home from the gym tonight.  He didn't answer, so I left a voice mail.  I don't have plans for Friday night yet, but I wouldn't mind making him my plans.

And yes, the boy is a good kisser.
