Well, I only got to see Tom (date) briefly. After a meeting at the Presbyterian church (while I'm being bi-denominational, I guess I'm going to have to specify), I gave him a little ringy-dingy. I got his voice mail, which was mildly surprising. On the other hand, he has one of the best voice mail messages ever.
Well, he called back about 4:30, and said he could see me for about an hour, from 4:45-5:45 at Moody's (home of the best freakin' burgers in Chicago). I said I would take what I could get, and if that was all I could have, then I'd see him in 15 minutes.
It was a nice hour. Just wish it could've been more. But he says his schedule should open up some more in early February. I offered to help fill it.
*sigh* I like him. I guess, in a way, it's good that we're being forced to take it slow. I've never been in a relationship where we've taken it slow yet maintained our interest. It's not half-bad, actually.
Afterward, I forced myself upon the gym. Not the best workout, but I made it.
Been watching the playoffs. I wanted Atlanta to win, but am not terribly surprised that Philly did. However, it's moot, because Philly is going to lose to the winner of the Steelers/Pats game. Rooting for the Patriots, personally.
Tomorrow, I meet with the Session (Elders) at the Presbyterian church in order to formalize my membership there. I'll be at the church for various meetings and goings-on, just not the Sunday services, when I have to be at the Episcopal church. Silliness.
At present, I'm wondering exactly why I watch Desperate Housewives. It really is a rather absurd show. But then again, I also watch Alias, so I certainly know how to handle absurdity. |
