Wowsers

Gracious!  It's been nearly a week since I posted here!  What madness! 

But, the new job definitely drains me.  Having to wake up at 4:30 in the morning is not, in fact, cute.  And every morning, my first thought is "Fuck. This."  It turns out that this is not the most pleasant way to begin one's day.

Otherwise, the job is pleasant enough.  Everyone seems to like me, and my boss has made a couple minor changes to the position in what I assume is an effort to keep me happy.  I think it freaks her out a little bit that I was willing to work overtime on the second day.  And, I'll be working on the 4th.  I need the money.

My weekend was rather busy.  Friday night, I went out drinking with a new friend (and somehow, only paid for the cab home.  no complaints there!).  He wants me to come work for his employer next month.  That's going to take some consideration.  While it would pay considerably more, and give me better hours, I need to make sure that I'm not shooting myself in the foot.  And I really don't care for job-hopping.  I need to make sure that it's a real opportunity, and not a bad idea.

I also spent some time this weekend actively avoiding Pride (I wasn't in the mood for crowds) and working on my sermon for July 10.  I've got the basic framework for it now.  I just need to pilish it and make sure it's of sufficient length.

Anyway, it's bedtime for Uvon.
