"Not A Problem"

Nothing like a good horoscope to start your day on the right foot.  For today, my horoscope ended, "Even if you don't know how to dance, you're metaphorically tapping your way through life."

Which I think is mostly true.

Today, someone asked me how many times I day I say, "Not a problem."  The answer is, a lot.  Almost every time someone asks me to do something, or thanks me for doing something, I tend to respond, in part, with "not a problem."  It's a habitual thing for me...kinda like saying, "I'm fine how are you?" when someone asks how you're doing.

But, of course, I couldn't just say that.  So, I chose to respond with, "I think maybe I say it to convince myself that it's really not a problem.  I call it self-delusion through charisma."

I really like "Self-delusion through charisma."  It's probably one of my more clever off-the-cuff phrases.  I'm going to start using it more often in casual conversation.

Also, someone today at work mentioned twice during casual conversation that she wasn't sure if I was gay or not.  And twice during casual conversation, I was intentionally ambiguous in my response.  I don't get a lot of opportunities to see how long I can last under someone's gaydar.  It's fun to test the skills.  Of course, just the mere fact that I was asked the question suggests that she's getting a clue.

*sigh*
