| | I was officially "assassinated" in Sock Wars today. They arrived in a priority mail envelope, and I knew I was done. I finished one sock, and the cuff of the second. Granted, I slowed WAY down when my assassin e-mailed me to say the socks were in the mail, so if I'd been diligent, I might've shot my victim before they arrived. However, knowing my doom was near, it seemed more prudent to work on some Christmas knitting. The thing is, now that it's over, I really really want to knit more socks. This could be because my assassin used baby pink yarn and so the socks are, by my color standards, unwearable (Jerry is thinking of taking them). Or it could be that something clicked inside my knitty little heart. But in either case, I'm adding a pair of socks to my works-in-progress. The socks join a sweater, a hat, a scarf, and an afghan. If I added a pair of pants to that collection, I'd be knitting an entire outfit. I'd also be known as a man with extremely suspicious taste in clothing. However, the scarf is intended to be a gift (recipient unknown), and the hat is intended for Michelle. The sweater and the afghan are mine. The socks might be mine if I like them when finished. Otherwise, I'll see if Jerry wants them. I still LOVE Pushing Daisies. |
