A New Year Indeed

I've been with Daniel for the past 42 hours.

Tuesday morning when we woke up, we decided to take a roadtrip.  We took a lot of backroads, so we ended up a few miles outside Milwaukee - not a far jump from Chicago.  But special, still.

I had a lot of firsts on New Year's Eve with Daniel.  Not all, perhaps, are appropriate for sharing over this medium.

But some are.

Firstly, it was my first time taking a trip with someone I was seeing.  Granted, I haven't "seen" a great many people, but still.

It was my first time kissing someone in a car.  And in public.  Whenever he'd park the car, and most of the time when we were caught at a red light, he'd lean over and we'd kiss.  I tried to keep an eye on the light so I'd know when it changed.

I'd never stayed in a hotel room with someone I was dating.  We stayed in a little place outside Milwaukee on Route 49.  In actuality, we discovered that the service road we took off of 49 to get to the motel was called "Lovers Lane".  Had we known that, we might not have stopped there.  We're pretty cheesy together, but not quite that cheesy.

And for the first time, I had someone to kiss at midnight to ring in the new year.  By the way, Daniel is a fantastic kisser.

I'm watching myself fall pretty hard for this guy.  I don't know where things are, or where they're going, but I really hope something wonderful happens here.

I'm going to take a short nap before I clean my apartment.
