Simply try to live as Christ. That covers ALL the bases!

For some reason, I can see it, but not hear it. I agree with UnworthyofHisgrace -- A real man is one who lives all his days trying to be just like Jesus. Did you have a good Mother's Day?

  • tialoca13

a real man accepts his responsibilities given to him by God, has courage and love for his family and loves his God, his family and his country....

@DanishDoll - I had a wonderful Mothers' Day. I got to go shopping for new patio plants, came home and transplanted them, then cleaned out the rabbit area, Then I had a little nap, got up, made a roast beast dinner and my two daughters, one of their best friends and my granddaughter all came over for Mother's Day dinner...I got flowers, gifts and the dishes done for me

I think that being a real man has many many aspects, and some of them seem to contradict each other.A real man is a tender caring Lover, and yet when it comes down to it, if he needs to, he'll be the fiercest warrior the world could ever know.  He follows od, and does it to the point that it is a pleasure and an honour for his wife to submit to him, because she knows that he isn't the supreme comander.  He is the best leader, and the most humble servant.  He can readily admit when he is wrong, yet will defend to to the death a decision that is right.

Dittos!!  And when his soul is willing to do the will of God, despite life's obstacles and challenges...a woman will say....she has a blessed man.  I've got one!!  And I have been so very blessed.

Thank you for you kind words.  Conversely, despite the loss of our dear little furry boy, we have gained the tender thoughts of those who understand and give us more than you can know.  So, thank you...for more than you can know.

@cowboy_christian - Well said....I completely agree with you. I've never been blessed with that kind of relationship but I know many couples who have and they are such a delight to be friends with. A husband and wife who work together with and for God are truly blessed.

@GrapiesWordsofWisdom - You're most welcome Gracie, and I thank you for being an encouragement and shining example of God's love to me.

Hi there - here from Tricia's site.  Um, yes, well, I pretty much agreed with Tricia's summation on the perfect man on her post!  But I think the man who tries to be like Christ is a pretty good description, as long as he's doing it HONESTLY!
    Have a good weekend!

    Thanks for the props!

I became a Mom at 19, too. :) I agree with what you posted below.

@PrincessOfSeptember - Thanks for coming by..There were definitely some perks to having had my children young (although my last was born when I was 36) Guess I've experienced it both ways, and I have to say I was so much more prepared with the last one. Even though I've done it all on my I think I knew enough by the time she was born to take time to enjoy her more than the first two.

RYC : Thanks for the idea of a journal on all the places we have lived.  I will definitely look into some sort of exercise like that with him, although it may be a little painful right now.  Just about every memory we have of places we have been and stayed somewhere inside them has "dad", and we just don't need to go there right now!  It is an awesome idea though and perhaps in a few months......
    Have a great weekend!
