I'm not feeling longwinded here, so short and simple...

Friday, good news to be heard right before I left for home. Will update when things progress further.

Saturday, played about 6 hours of Classic Battletech and watched my team get slaughtered by some craptastical dice rolling (on our side) and unbelievably good rolling on the other. I mean, we're missing target numbers of 3's and 4's (on 2d6) here; they're making 10's and 11's. Un-freaking-believable. The game could've been a LOT closer than the rout it turned into.

I guess I had it coming after handing the Davions one hell of an embarrassing loss last September.

Anyway, a good friend came over for dinner that night and we had quite the ranging talk regarding several things. Informative, to say the least. News on that front I shall find out more this week. *fingers crossed*

Sunday, tourist hell (again). It's the beginning of the Cherry Blossom Festival here, and great weather. Which means....sold out museum most of the day, with a busted A/C (when is it EVER functional?) and apparently, some sewer fumes wafting in the lower level. Joooooy. And guess who gets to field all those complaints?

    Couldn't leave fast enough.

HOWEVER! I did manage to pull off a fantastic double-header of an April Fool's joke that'll be realized tomorrow. For the first half, I took everything on my boss's desk and turned it upside down - pictures in frames, stuff on the bulletin board...and her computer monitor. THAT was the piece d'resistance - I managed to mount it upside-down on her monitor stand.

For my second half, I took some Caution: Crime Scene tape and just completely maze-wrapped the buyers' cubicles upstairs with it. And managed to do so in a way that the tape is one continuous strand, so if it's tugged, then things...move...in their cubes. They're going to have to pull off a Tom Cruise Mission: Impossible stunt jobbie to get THAT mess cleaned up. HA!

And of course, I'm off on Monday. Which means a.) I won't see their reactions (though I'm expecting a phone call around 9 a.m.), and b.) I'm sooo ripe for the revenge act. Which is cool, because it's all in fun. I'm actually looking forward to seeing what they come up with.

And so now...I'm off to la-la land. Later!

No arguments on the dice man... I kept watching both sides and just shaking my head. Better rolls from even ONE WoB Mech, and that fight would have gone very differently. I still think you guys waited too long to pop the big surprises out of the sand, but with the dice rolls it really didn't make much differance.

As for the prank... daaaaaamn. Glad no one here is that devious! ;)

We did the desk flippy thing to my old boss on his birthday one year, let's just say he was less than happy about it.  Sounds like some people may be out for a little payback....watch you back!!
