It's funny how on holidays you're always keen for a change.
Oh, and for shopping

UBER adorable doggy speakers for my laptop! Also works with iPods. From the 'Got Gift?' shop in the Green Heights shopping mall in Kuching where they sell all forms of cuteness personified.

I looove Charles and Keith! Nude heels for 20 pounds, *bliss* and so very comfy.

BLING! Should be my middle name, sparkly stuff makes me happy hence my new readings frames.

New haircut courtesy of Bernie Badri at Hilton (I realllly like his stuff! A good hairdresser is one that looks at you and just KNOWS exactly what you need, you don't have to tell them anything). It's shorter at the back and I'm supposed to fluff it up but I can't do back shots!

Some shots from Kuching

Dad built this! In a month's time they'll be unveiling the golden roof tiles, so that they glimmer in the sun.
Very cool.

Grandad's name (I can't read this at all! Dad had to tell me) on the Foochow First Settlers' Memorial plaque. It cost ten grand to get his name there! I think it's kind of cool, someday my kids will see this (they prolly won't know how to read Chinese either, but that's another story. I will need to bring this picture along as a visual aid!).

Red Dragon fruit! Stains your entire mouth red like the beetroot does. I'd not seen this variety before, only the white ones. Methinks this is sweeter.

LC: a rare shot of my new hairdo! Not the nicest shot but it's the only one I have. My maternal grandmother is to the left of me. I REALLY think she looks like Yoda, except she ain't green (my uncle thinks I'm awful, but when presented with an actual picture of Yoda he laughs and agrees she does resemble him. Eh, old and wise right??).

Beautiful Ben on her wedding day! Outside St Joseph's church

Group photo with the happy couple!

Over You
By Daughtry
see relatedAny publicity is good publicity?
Saw this at the bus stop today around Wandsworth:
They specialize in men's swimwear, and the naked butt shot is follows the age old rule that sex sells (the swimming trunk is draped around his shoulders. Doesn't make much sense but I guess they wanted a butt shot). No big deal right?
I laughed my head off when I saw the caption at the bottom right hand corner.

Who the hell dreams up these captions??

Malaysians have a sense of humor
*New word *
There are possible plans underway to apply to the Oxford
and Webster to include a new word for their 2009 dictionary:
*badawi *[baa-daa-wee] (noun):To start something full of promise but to end in disappointment, failure and/or disaster.
Eg:
'I'm trusting you to perform this task well;
don't do a badawi , ok?'
'Whatever I do, I will always find a way to badawise
it.'
France badawied their Euro 2008 campaign. England
pre-badawied theirs,
while Italy were guilty of over- badawification. For further clarification see Badawi
