Missions Day this morning! Sean is in Europe or Detroit... I'm not sure which. Either way I ran the day and dang was it awesome! It rained all night last night. And today Aldeen Park was a blades of grass in between huge puddles. It was about 50-60 degrees, so the flopping in the mud wasn't nearly as detrimental to one's health as it would have been on past Missions Days. The leap frog through six inches of water was only slightly more hilarious than the Monkey Rolls and the One Foot Hopping Relay. The eight foot wall climb wasn't too bad either... a small lake formed around the base of the wall due hill drainage. A number of peope didn't take this into account and would run at the wall to boost themselves up, lose all traction and slam into the wall about six inches off the ground. It poured! They had to build bridges across the creek and WOW was that water cold!

All in all one of the best Missions Days I've been a part of...

Awww missions day....I've had a few of those! Good times. Although I must admit that last years was indeed hell for me, mostly because of recovering from surgery. But regardless, every year I've learned something, whether it's being sick, recovering from surgery, or just living the good 'ole life I always got something out of it. Thank you for letting me follow you follow Jesus for a few months of my life....quite possibly the best miles spent on these feet! Love you man.

What a great post. Was just thinking about all the memories from ms Dee's house. Rock-climbing at the Y. Deep discussions about Lord of the Rings. Can't wait to see the Chronicles of Narnia. Happy Holidays bro. Later.

Again that bursting feeling came into the boy's heart, and he lifted his face to hers and said, "May I come sometimes and be your boy?"

And the Small Girl's mother said, "Yes." And when at last he went away, she stood in the door and watched him, such a little lad, who knew so little of loving. And because she knew so much of loving, her eyes filled to overflowing. But presently she wiped the tears away and went back to the table. And she smiled at the Small Girl and the Small Girl's father. "And the potatoes were ivory," she said, "Oh, who would ask for turkey, when you can have a pie like this?"
