Well the first week is over, and it's been pretty busy.
Included in this week: lots of wrench-turning, screw-driving, cowl-removing, grease-cleaning, headset-donning, airplane-flying, radio-talking, baby-feeding, people-meeting, parents-hosting, . . . . . . . hours.
Needless to say, it's been a busy week. At the airport, we had a few good days (as far as weather), and then it got really cold and rainy.
But I'd rather have it cold than hot. You can always put more clothes on . . . you can only remove so much without getting arrested (NOT the voice of experience). So I'm not complaining.
I like working here a lot. First and foremost, it's where God has called us as a family to be. Second (and this is really just a perk, but a really important one) is that the people are great to work with. I no longer have to put up with foul language in the work-place, and the atmosphere is very encouraging. Even though the work is tough and tiring (and contorts your body into shapes you never thought possible), I wouldn't want to be anywhere else right now . . . because anywhere else wouldn't be God's perfect plan for us.
We know it's temporary, but we can enjoy it for this little time.
