| | The third season of Arrested Development and the second season of House are out on DVD, and thanks to my substitute-for-a-girlfriend relationship with Neflix and a quirk of Amazon's Web site, I have both seasons in my apartment for my viewing pleasure. Unfortunately for me, I haven't really gotten the chance to watch either. Despite my q4 schedule and overall laid-back-ness of the surg onc rotation, I find myself with less and less time to watch TV and more and more time spent doing things like "pre-rounding." Ugh...pre-rounding: that horrible ritual where interns wake up all their patients five hours before the sun comes up and ask stupidly important questions about passing gas and having bowel movements. I despise it. It only reinforces my belief that hospitals are hardly the place to get better from any ailment. Instead they cause sleep deprivation, which leads to hallucinations, psychotropic medications, and involuntary admissions. |
