| | Since the military hospital is about forty miles away from my home institution, the visiting civilian residents (such as myself) are put up in an apartment about six miles from the Air Force base. It's actually a very nice three-bedroom apartment that's fully furnished (save toilet paper and soap).
The apartment complex is also equipped with a splendid gym, sauna, outdoor pool and hot tub, and (of all things) a racquetball court.
Now, to be fair, I usually could care less about workout facilities because -- let's be honest -- I don't really work out. But a racquetball court is hard to pass up. So I picked up the old racquetball racquet, picked up some new blue balls(!), and found my old protective goggles. (They're old in the sense that I bought them several years ago, but they're new in the sense that I've actually never had the chance to wear them.)
