  • my last day as a faux house-wife

omg i woke up at 11:21am today. im embarassed.

Kong im'd me at 11:30 and asked me to meet him for lunch and I tried to pretend I had been awake for hours. he knew right away however when i showed up at 12:19pm (4 minutes late- Kong is a stickler for always being on time) and he picked up a strand of my japanese mullet and said "somebunny didn't showerrrrrrrr???" haha!

while i'd love to recount some wild night out in bangkok as being the reason why i slept until lunchtime, theres no reason. i was in bed before 10.
well whatever- monday i start working, so my days as a faux-housewife are OVER! so what if we had maids who did all the cleaning, made the bed, folded the laundry and did the dishes... i still got to like, be at home. anyway, the past two weeks have been fun but i'm excited for Monday.

so i kind of accepted three positions with UNESCO in bangkok(united nations educational, scientific and cultural org). i dont know what to do. every person that wrote me had such an interesting project that i just wanted to be involved with them all! plus- i dont mean to be judgmental (isnt that what all judgmental people say?) but Bangkok just seems to me like such a sad place. prostitution is technically illegal but the government doesnt really enforce any regulation on that. Kong says its because if they did, it would hurt tourism. so industry benefits from tourism but those benefits rarely trickle down to the people of bangkok thus oppressing the people! its just sad. but what do i know? these are just conclusions we've made from the things we've seen.  maybe i've got it all wrong. in any case, this is why i've chosen to work with the UN. rather than read about it or talk about it, i just want to be in the trenches and see what happens.

so last night in my sleep i punched Kong.
i had a dream i was fighting with my little brother, and well, i dont know! i was sleeping! its perfect bc for date night tonight we're going to see a thai movie on muy-thai boxing. it has english subtitles, and its research so that we know what to expect when we actually go to see a real match. here's our movie:http://www.movieseer.com/movieProfileBil.asp?moID=6417&Channel=2
