see relatedI think that there are a lot of reasons to break up with someone. It is totaly uncool if they cheat on you, that would be a legitimate reason I should think. It would also be a good idea to break up with someone if they are in love with you, but you are not in love with them. It is also possible to fall out of love with someone, in which case you should break up with them.
I just answered this Featured Question, you can answer it too!

Good. Reading some other answers to this question, people weren't really coming up with anything, and I'm like, What?!? Of course there can be at least a few legitimate reasons, aside from the obviousness of abusive spouse.
@bricebanner - well thank you, although i have to admit that i did not even think of the abusive spouse one, but then i dont usually think of the obvious choice
What is "love" to you?
@hades143 - to me, love is the feeling that you will die without that person's happiness, the willingness to do anything to make them happy, a feeling that cannot even be described in words known to humankind. love is the willingness to die for someone, love is missing someone two seconds after they have left you. love, at least true love, is all of these things.
