I have a hard time kissing a guy I like. unattractive ones are fine, they'll never hurt me. I can date them for a few months before realizing it's not going anywhere.

But something about a cute guy dancing up on me all night and trying to kiss me, and I turn my head. He kissed my ear. Is that bad?

So yeah, last night turned out to be a date. A friend of a friend invited me to his holiday party at a place over the harbor in Gtown. It was so beautiful, but the high winds canceled the boat parade. I was hanging out with my friends most of the night since he was the one organizing the party, but he kept checking in on me and then getting pulled away. It was nice though, until I found out through one of my friends that this was definitely a date.

"Oh yeah, he likes the timmy," she says.

So I mentally freaked out. He's a REALLY cute guy and I don't date REALLY cute guys. I date cute and not so cute and not even close to cute, but I always assess the guy to make sure he's in my ballpark even if it's somewhere in the cheap seats.

So I did what I normally do when I panic, hide out with the Lesbians. And then they left to go to the after party at a club near the Strand. So I hung out with some older black ladies (always a good choice after Lesbians) until he was ready to go to the club to meet everyone else.

I love dancing. I don't go to clubs very often, but when I do I'm on the dance floor for awhile. Small town gay clubs rarely have good music (since it's usually some cousin with a cd, not a dj mixing), and it's always fun when the one drag queen also doubles as the stripper.

So we danced and talked and then he tried to kiss me. I'm a slow mover. To me, a kiss is a big deal. So I got close and then turned my head and... yeah.... awkward, party of two...

Eventually he cornered me and we did kiss and it was nice and then he walked me to my car and I went home. But... this is scary territory for me. So we'll see...

Don't freak out just because he's hot. You deserve a hot man! Go for it.

RYC: Well, if you're at home or at someone's house, boil a pan of water and pour it on the door jam. Depending on just how cold it is, you may only have a couple of minutes to scrape like mad and try to pry it open. If all else fails, crawl through another door.

Timmy....Timmy...Timmy...never, never, and I mean NEVER pass up an opportunity to kiss a really cute guy! Kissing is the best thing ever, I miss having a great kisser in my life. And you're selling yourself too short, you deserve the really cute guy if he's into you!!

Number one...Timmy is a REALLY cute guy...so it' no big deal for him to be kissing a REALLY cute guy. And Billsy is right - great kissing is wonderful...so enjoy it.
