| | BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN.......well I finally got to see it. It was disturbing. I just don't know another word to describe just how I feel at the moment. It is one of those films that one has to let settle in. Some of the best books I have read and several of the better films I have ever seen were disturbing to me. In time, I grew to appreciate the art and talent involved. There is no doubt, to me anyway, that Brokeback is a great film. I do want to see it again....just not for a while. And I do have the soundtrack and will learn to play it on the piano this week. By then I am sure the full impact of the film will have become apparent. When I get to that point, I will appreciate Brokeback for what it probably is.....a masterpiece. ~~Trey~~ |
